Hello all; I am trying to get a feel for what BofA is doing these days in the way of debt settlement. I know they used to be around 20% payable within 6 installments. Anyone settle with them recently, and could you give details? Thanks!

Has anyone ever heard of The American Center for Law and Justice?? They show up on my caller ID as 202-507-7331. They never leave a message. I looked the number up and it came up as The American Center for Law and Justice out of Washington, DC. I am not sure if it is coincidence but they seem to pop up on my caller ID usually after I have gotten a call from the scums at United Legal. It doesn't look like on the Internet that they are connected but does anyone know anything about them? Thanks.

I was sued by lvnv funding and had my wages garnished for 4 months and finally paid off the goal amount then a week later they garnished me again for another 1900 dollars that had nothing to do with the original debt and I can't get an answer what the new charges are for

A few weeks ago I received a letter from ACA Recovery stating that I owe $755.00 for a $300 loan that I took out with Ten Dollar Payday. I paid $90 on the loan before closing my account. I sent a certified letter to Ten Dollar Payday as well as emails and faxes stating that I am willing to pay the remaining $210 that I owe them. They never contacted me but turned it over to ACA Recovery. I sent ACA recovery a debt validation letter and in the mail today I received a copy of my online contract with Ten Dollar Payday, with my electronic "I Agree" signature.

I have two credit cards both are behind, how does this effect my credit score in the long run.

My student loans are in offset. This year will be the second time my income taxes have been taken away from me. How can I get rid of this debt? :?

As I posted in another post, I am currently dealing with a CA for my old student loans in default. Should I send them a DV to buy myself some time to work with the Ombudsman and get loan consolidation going???? I would love to make them jump though hoops for a bit.

I took out a loan with this Illinois lender back in 2005... In 2006, I moved (there is no longer a store located in my town) and changed jobs. I didn't even realize at the time that I moved that I still owed them money. I got a call from them in DECEMBER 2008 stating that I owed $1972.09 on a loan generated in 2005, and that they wanted payment for it. This has been the FIRST TIME they have contacted me! I have had the same cell phone number (I use it as my home phone) for the last seven years, and this is the first I am hearing that I owe almost $2000 to them.
