Hi I have read some info on here and wanted to get some advice. Ill start out by saying I live in pa.
I got a Loan for 2500.00. It started with western sky then sold to cash call. I made $1000.00 on 3 payments then had some difficulty as my wages were lowered at work. I asked for a settlement and they agreed. 500 a month for 5 months. I have now paid 4 months totaling $2000.00. I went to pay the 5th and last payment today and they now tell me my one payment was a week late so the settlement is now void.
This is the email I have recieved and they want me to pay them using only western union. no credit cards of debit cards only western union. Can you tell me if this is actually real or am I being scammed?? I have taken my name out of the letter.
Please help!!

I have payday loans with netpdl, splash, hydra, liberty, insight, and minute funds. I sent them a letter revoking authorization for ACH withdrawals and any wage assignment. It was similar to the one that was suggested on this site) and I have not recieved responses. The only response I recieved was from hydra arguing about how they didn't have to follow our laws. I did agree to pay back the principle on each of the loans but I am worried they will take my payment and not apply it. Another problem is that closing my bank account is not an option right now.
After reading through this forum, I've seen this company come up a few times... and in several areas throughout the internet.
Here's an example of one of these threads

I've also dealt with this company and recently sent a certified letter to SPS and denied all claims to the debt. I also sent the exact same letter to the FTC.
They don't care who owes the debt as long as they get paid.

Here’s a thought I’d like to bounce off folks to see if I’m thinking correctly. I have about $200k in PLUS debt. That puts interest alone at about $1,317 per month. I’m not entirely clear on how much my pay can be garnished, 15% or 25%, though it looks like 25%. Anyway, defaulting means that I would, in fact, go onto a sort of ICR/IBR payment arrangement since my payment is limited by pay, regardless of what I owe.
I just got a letter from Chase regarding a debt that was charged off 4 years ago. It is a business line of credit. The amount of the credit line is $102k.
The letter said if we send them $78K they will settle this debt in full.
Why are they sending me this ridiculous offer? Of course I don't have that kind of money in the bank to send them. I haven't heard from them since we defaulted in 2009.
What are they thinking?
