Help! I am $60k in debt and can't figure out where to even start! I bank with Wells Fargo and I have two credit cards with them and a line of credit - they take out automatic payments every month and I am paying about an average of $500 in overdraft fees every month as well because of it! WHERE DO I START - all of these consolidation/management companies seem to smell my desperation and scare me to DEATH! HELP!!!

What to do

We have acquired about $50,000 in credit card debt, credit scores are still good b/c we have always made minimum payments. But at this rate, the debt will never get paid off. We've got several BOA, Citi, Discover and 2 different credit union cards. I initially thought we ought to enter a Debt USA program, let them go late and have them settle but I don't know

Also, I was wondering if it was hard to prove my hardship, because it would create an undue hardship since I was unemployed?

Undue hardship on student loans

I've been out of college for 8 years and I was in defalut. I recently got out with making payments of $595 a month for 9 payments. I lost my job and filled a forbearence on the loans. I havn't really used my education and was wondering if it was hard to get my student loans discharged by saying that I havn't benefited from my education.

Erroneous letter received by an attorney

17 years 3 months ago
Hello, I'm involved in a civil case (plaintiff). I just received a letter by my attorney that I'm being sued for $8,736.38 and I don't know why? I've been out of business for over 5 years...my father is financing my case. He's given this attorney over $40,000 for nothing. She's thrown cause of action out of court without my authorization which is against state bar codes. In fact, I'm the one who should be reporting her to the California Disciplinary Board for her conduct. She incurred a bill after the judge demanded her not to do so!
