Hi all, I was laid off back in the summer, and I have 43K in credit card debt, I have been paying everything in time, to do that I had to move in with my parents :roll: I make $1500, which goes all towards minimum payments. I have been like this since the summer and I just can't continue. My parents are willing to help me out with 10K in cash, ONLY if my debt can be settled. Is that even possible? BOA-18K AMEX: 15K CHASE: 7K HSBC: 3k If that's possible, what should I exactly do?

I just received my card in the mail from this company and called to activate my card over the phone. They wanted a payment up front and I declined. They then asked if I would do a post dated payment for the due date and I'm more up for doing that than anything. I understand them wanting a payment up front because they would want to make sure that you really want the card and are going to use it.

I have defaulted on 3 payday loans. All storefront Buckeye Checksmart 350 paid 61.25 every 2 weeks for about a year Loan Mart 500 paid 87.50 every 2 weeks for about 3 years Checkmate 500 paid 87.50 every 2 weeks for about 2 1/2 years Had some personal problems come up and could not pay on them. I have tryed to make payment arrangements and have been told no by all 3. They want their money now! I don't have it and would be willing to make payments. I signed no on all 3 that I did not have any other loans out. Somebody please tell me I will not go to jail for this. I don't know what to do.

Please help me to answer this summons. Three months ago, I received a debt collection letter from Att. Harlan M Reese claimed that I owned Pinnacle credit service $7809.12, I sent a debt validation to this attorney office but no reply. Three weeks ago on Sunday, I received a summon from Pinnacle, thus I needed your help to answer this before it expires. I called clerk's office, she told me to use the California form PLD-C-010 and I do not know how to fill this form in proper legal format.

Is it best to stop paying all cards at once to try for settlement or maybe do the biggest ones first and keep paying the others.All cards are current right now but i wanted to attack bofa first if i go this route.I have two cards at around 12000 each.If i could get rid of those two first it eliminate half of my cc debt,but would they take offense to not seeing any other lates on my credit report and be less inclined to settle?Thanks

I was wondering if Care One is legit or a scam. My brother just signed up with them this week. From what I was told on this forum in the past was that debt consolidation can not be done in New Jersey except for a lawyer. We do live in NJ so how can this be that he signed up with Care One. Also, do they stop the interest from building, I was told by a debt collector that nobody can stop the interest but the credit card company themselves. I too am in need of consoidation, credit cards used to get me through college are to much to pay off now.

IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIGHT A JUDGMENT IN YOUR CREDIT REPORT AND LATE PAYMENTS AS WELL AS INQUIRIES THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

I was just looking at the news and they were talking about nationalizing BOA and CITI. I was just wondering what the implications would be for those of us settling? Would those debts then fall in with taxes, school loans and other government debt that can be garnished without a judgment? This is making me scared right now!!!!
