Hi, I have an entry on my credit report from Kansas Counselors, a collection agency representing Everest communications, a provider of Cable Tv, Internet and Phone that I had service with. Long story short, I terminated service with Everest Communications, returned their equipment, paid the account in full, and then the next day had Time Warner come and install their services. Months later Everest Communications called me and claimed I was STILL receiving their services.

Hi, My wife is working , makes the most and is paying 2 thousand a month on credit cards in my name alone. I'm working part time, finishing our farmhouse and watching the kids when they are not in school. I have never missed a payment. I've got like 80k in debt. I want to stop paying and settle. Concerns I have is if her credit score would ever be harmed if her name is not on my credit cards. And would our savings be at risk if sued and a judgement was issued. thanks Dan

Hello, This is my first time submitting and my first time in a forum, so all help is welcomed. I electronically signed a fafsa loan for my daughter 3 years ago, at the time I thought I was just verifing my financial status so she could get a loan. Come to find out the loan is in my name. I have defaulted on the loan. I know these are excuses but...here are my circumstances. I had just recently been divorced, very low child support for my youngest, and my yearly income was under 30,000. I was just able to make rent a car payment and food.

A local lawyer is threatening to sue me for $6,200 in credit card debt. I sent him a letter asking him to verify the debt and he responded. He sent me a faxed copy of an old credit card statement and a very confusing spreadsheet showing a lot of numbers I don't fully understand. This guy is still asking me to pay the full amount and is still threatening litigation if I don't pay up. What can I do about this now? Is there another letter I can send to buy myself some more time? Should I ask him if I can do some sort of payment plan?

I have payday loans with the following lenders: Cashsupply Kenwood Services Sandpoint Capital Upfrontmoney I faxed all of them the formed letter telling them to stop calling and harrassing and they refuse to listen. Should I send the letters certified to them? What happens if they wont stop? I have my complaint forms ready for my states attorney as well. I was wondering if anyone else has had to deal with these companys? Can they take me to court with legal action if they are illigal companies? How do I KNOW FOR SURE they are illiegal? Some one please help!

Finally some good news on the illegal PDL homefront. My Cash Now eventually sold my debt to NCA (Nat'l Credit Adjusters) who were both rude and harassing. I filed a complaint with the ACA (American Collectors Association)against them. When they were challenged, they basically lied about everything. They also claimed I never asked for validation of the loan or the original lenders license to lend in the US. I faxed this to them and had my fax confirmation as proof that I indeed did request it back in Aug.

Is this United Legal again? I must admit the calls are getting fewer but they try again about once a month. I just do not answer. I don't know if this is them or not. Does anyone know this number?? Also, I have left my job now. What if they call there and find out I do not work there anymore? I am scared they will try to talk to my old boss. Will these guys ever go away??!!

I am just starting the debt settlement process. I was so used to paying all my bills online that I have them all set up to be paid with the joint checking account that my spouse and I have at Wells Fargo. My spouse is employed. I am self-employed with an LLC. I am going to tackle settling the credit cards in my name first and then work on the spouse's. My question is, I've read several posts here that suggest I should close my checking and open a new one, or perhaps more than one.

I got a call at my home phone this morning from 973-438-3624? I did not answer. Does anyone know who this number belongs to? Is it United Legal again?? I admit their calls are getting fewer and fewer but they still call about once a month (at least I think that is who it is) but I just do not answer if I do not recognize the number. I am worried because I have left my job now. What if they call there again and find out I do not work there anymore? Will they ask to be speak to my old supervisor and tell him what is going on?
