17 years 3 months ago
my father became disabled from a surgery, all his saving has been you up for his care, he has nothing but social security. He had credit card debt that I tried to keep up paying but stopped because we are now behind in our mortage. My father is under my sole care and I have no other family members. Can they sue me or my father, as I said he has nothing but social security

IRS did not take our payment out last month!!

17 years 3 months ago
I make monthly payments to the IRS for back taxes, they never deducted out payment in Jan....The money is still in the account, however its now time for the Feb payment (today) and normally they take it the week day before its due, again so far nothing has come out of my account. Any ideas what the heck could be going on? I need to call them, but I HATE calling them, as it takes so long to get someone on the phone...Thanks Reny

DIY Debt Settlement

17 years 3 months ago
question for those of you that don't have enough money to make lump sum payments and are not using a debt settlement company. How are you deciding who to make offers to first? Are you just starting with your lowest bills and going up. I'm getting so tired of not making any head way,it always seems we have a plan and then something happens, then we dont' have enough money to start our plan...What a vicious cycle....I want to see some results...I really want to pay everyone every month, but that is not working, so I'm going to pick some bill and starting paying it off.

Unifund CCR Partners

17 years 3 months ago
Unifund is actually Unifund CCR Partners, a trademark registered in Ohio. The trademark is owned by Unifund CCR Partners, a general partnership registered in Delaware. The general partnership here is between Credit Card Receivables Fund, Inc. registered in Ohio, and ZB Limited Partners, a general partnership registered in Delaware. I am still working on just exactly who are the ZB partners, but it looks like they have no corporate protection. Maybe they do not need any because ZB is short for Zurich (Swiss) Bank! David G. Rosenberg, you bad boy.

ID Teft Victim, Encore continues to call.

17 years 3 months ago
I have been a victim of id teft since 2005. ABC Warehouse has sent the bill of a furniture loan that does not belong to me, to Encore Receivable Management. I have repeadetly told them that this is a fraudulent account and to send it back to ABC Warehouse. ABC Warehouse is fully aware of this account, and I have documentation to prove it. I have just receiveda call from Encore Sunday, February 15th, 2009, @ 8:45am. Can someone tell me what my rights are?

I have called First revenue Assurance 2 times now and they say they will send me a letter showing my payments. Still have not. What should I do?

How much will collection agency add to my balance in charges/fees?

17 years 3 months ago
I have about $100K in credit card debt that I am trying to settle. If I let these all go to a collection agency, how much will the agency add in fees? should I expect that the balance I owe now will increase substantially, and then I will have to negotiate those fees off the settlement too?
