I ELECTRONICALLY FILED ON 1-18 STILL HAVENT GOTTEN MY REFUND, ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHEN IT WILL DEPOSIT.

In 2005, I enrolled in a debt settlement program. By 2008, all but one of my creditors had been paid. One creditor refused to work with my settlement co. Throught the three years, from '05-'08, several collection agencies attempted to collect on this one debt. They were all sent validation letters and all failed to validate the debt. Fast forward to Feb 2008, the SOL on this particular debt was reached. The creditor wrote off half the debt and sold half. In June 2008, I received a collection letter from Alliance One. They were attempting to collect on this account.

i have been paying on a student loan for almost eight years now,the original amount of loan was 5800.00,after eight years it has went down to only 4800,i paid on this up to jan 2007 untill things went bad for me and my family,no job,wife became disabled,one thing after another.

have you ever received a collection call from someone with a foreign accent (probabaly from India ) ? Some of the leading credit card companies have outsourced collections to agencies in India. Did you ever agree to allowing them to do this ?

when filing chapter 13 and you have cosigner on one of those debts,will they go after them even though you are paying on the debt? thanks

Help. I will admit it was my own stupidity that got me in this trouble. My checking account has been frozen becasue of an old credit card. Is there any way I can unfreeze it so that I can pay my mortgage? Should I get an attorney to help me? i contacted the attorney who did this and explained that I never got the paperwork with the weekyl payment and I don't have problem making the payments if they unfreeze my account. Is there anyway i can get the freeze reversed? Can they just take the entire contents of my checking account? What happens if they do?

My wife and I currently have Bank of America cards in both our names that we cannot pay. I have had my income significantly reduced and my wife does not work due to medical reasons. One card is solely in my name and hers is in her name. I want to call Bank of America to see if I can apply for a hardship settlement of some kind. Both cards are current as of now but next month we will not be able to make them. Should we apply seperately for the hardships or have you ever heard of a case where they combine them? Any advise would be appreciated.

Hi - Yesterday I received my first notice from the above CA...with 3 different names? Anyway, I was short on a pay-off ($200 keying error, my fault), never rcvd a phone call from the cc company... but, that's my fault, I thought about it several times on how I didn't get a notice saying the account was PIF. Never did anything about it. Now this place is saying that I owe $850 and that charges are accruing daily and if I dispute, I'll have to pay the balance, which by then would be closer to $1000!

hello everybody. I am a substitute teacher with an unstable income. I am trying to keep up with my credit cards but i am unable to pay my minimums or their hardship amounts so i am paying monthly whatever i can. I live with my parents and have no property only a 401k that i cannot borrow from. what can they do to me? What should i do? Thank you very much, God Bless All.
