I want to state this very clearly.....I misrepresented myself to many of my clients. I am in fact NOT an attorney and I am very sorry that I led so many people down a path of lies and untruth. I have reached settlement agreements with many of the people to whom I misrepresented myself. I am also very sorry that I related false negative stories about many other legitimate competitor companies.....ultimately I was projecting my lack of credentials and self esteem onto others. I have $52,000 B of A, $53,000 with Chase and $50,000 with Citi. I am current but I had my worse year in 2008 and I've all maxed out and no choice but to settle. If I have made the decision to settle, I've heard that you need to wait at least three months to six months from the date of any balance transfers before you should go deliquent. How many months after balance transfer should you make payments for before going deliquent? Also, what is the maximum you should go deliquent to prevent dealing with collections so you can make a lump sum payment I can work out with relatives I have?

I have recently "fired" my debt settlement company in order to save the $365 in fees I'd be paying for the next 11 months if I remained in the program. I'd rather put that money towards my actual repayments. But I've never made a settlement offer before. I would like to try and settle a couple of my lower balance accounts. Can you tell me if this wording is ok or suggest something else. I've never written one before.

I found this complaint that was submitted to the FTC. regarding the illegal actions of collection agencies. Says that CA's must have legal standing for colledting of a debt and that can ONLY be aquired through subrogation Has anyone ever heard of this law?
