First I would like to thank you guys so much for your help, I used the letters from this sight and sent them out and have settled a lot of the loans on my own. My question is now I noticed two companies on my credit report, I know one is for astro lending and the other says NCA, yet I never got anything in the mail about these, what can I do now?? I am working hard to get my credit ok after filing chapter 7 last year, now what??

Well as things go I am terrable with MONEY. It started back in 2006 when my MOM went into a nursing home. I was fair up until then. But after that I just started spending like there was no tomorrow. My problem is I collect DVD. You name it I have it. But back to the problem. Then things started to turn for my mother and of course more spending. So now Im in debt to the tune of $24,000 1 loan with Bank Of America and 2 credit cards with CHASE. But of course this isnt the first time. Back in 1996 5 years after my father passed away and my MOM suffered a stroke in 91 my spending was bad.

I have to go to court in Ca. to prove I'm exempt from judgement(i recieve SSDI direct deposit payments) what docs should i take to prove besides SSA paperwork and bank acct info

i received a summons today that i'm being sued by midland funding for an old credit card debt, but the SUMMONS says I have 35 days to respond and the PETITION FOR INDEBTEDNESS says I have only 30 days. which one do I go by? should I call the court clerk to see? most importantly, can i use this to my advantage if i have to go to court? thanks!
