I received a Notice to Cure letter from LITOW LAW OFFICES, PC stating that they represent CONVERGENCE RECEIVABLES. In the letter they state I have until Jan 9, 2009 to correct the default and I need to pay $369.32 by then. After I read the letter I ran my credit report and did not see any mention of Convergence Receivables on it, but I have a listing for UNIFUND CORP. I have never heard of any of this companies and to my knowledge have never received any correspondence from them until now.

Many people are loosing their jobs due to a sour economy. What do you think will happen to folks that are unable to pay their cc? Would the CA take more people to court? Or, would CA be more willing to work with people? Could these CA start to struggle with the rest of the economy? Kind of like a chain reaction.... Just wondering. What do you think?

I have $750 loan with ThinkCash. I have been paying regular bi-weekly payments ($90) but I cannot continue doing so. My son is 13 and was home sick today when he received a call on his cell phone (number we have owned for over 2 years). They asked for someone that we don't know (for protection i will call him John Doe). My son told the person that they reached the wrong number. The person on the phone acted as if he was lying and told him to put his dad or mom on the phone. He told the person that his mother was in the shower and that there was no one there by the name she mentioned. She told him that he was lying and that she spoke to John Doe at this number on Dec. 5th.

Are you working with Discover they are telling me that they are not doing settlements right now. They reduced my rate to 19% and put me on a payment plan to $350/mth. I just received a call from Payday Loan Store a legal storefront in IL they said they will not work with Town & Country and will return payments and they are only willing to accept 4 payments of which they added $60 for 2 NSF Fees, & they want debit card # for the payments or they will pursue legal actions is there anything i can do?
