can my paycheck be garnished by internet payday loan website's? I live in Arizona, and am barely living on what I make. I am worried about the repercussions. I already closed my bank account cause I thought that would fix it.

i need to send out a validation letter to an Atty. who is doing collections on an old HSBC account. don't want to tick them off but do want the info...any advise on a 'nice' letter?? or how to go about it?? would like to work a settlement with them at some point

I had taken out 8 payday loans out from mycashnow.com. I reside in NY. I believe it is an internet based loan but I'm not sure. Here is the following 8 loans: 1) 440.00 for 24 days, paid back 510.22 2) 310.00 for 28 days, paid back 467.39 3) 100.00 for 11 days, paid back 116.76 4) 600.00 for 18 days, paid back 743.64 5) 100.00 for 7 days, paid back 118.62 6) 700.00 for 18 days, paid back 850.82 7) 700.00 for 14 days, paid 242.99 but still owe 920.51 8) 710.00 for 13 days, I owe 891.75 The company that contacted me was out of nevada called credit protection depot.

Can an attorney send your employer a notice to garnish wages even if you have no judgement against you. I checked and have no judgements on file. I recieved a summons but doubt the validity of it because it has no Judges signature or court file numbers.

Actually I have a couple of questions. Several of my credit cards were sent to collection agencies. I did set up payment arrangements through in charge debt solutions. They will accept the payments but one of them called today wanting more. Right now I can't afford more that what I am paying now. Can I still call the original creditor and negotiate with them? Also I am having a major problem with Capital one. A year ago I lost my card. Whoever handled that screwed up my name and social security number. It's screwing up my payment through in charge debt solutions.

I have a $4,000 credit card account with U.S Bank. I am a substitute teacher and can no longer afford to pay the $77.00 minimum payments, i pay about $30.00 a month. Because of my situation I have been in constant contact with them and finally they told me today that the account is 120 days late and that they were forwarding my account to the pre-legal dept. Do student loans fit into any kind of the consolidation? Some of mine have gone to collections.

I received a letter from Mitchell N. Kay (a CA working on behalf of Macy's) that says, "Our client values your business & would like to help you reinstate your account with them". blah blah blah. "Pay the full balance owed & receive a new CC w/a credit line equal to the amount of your payment. This offer will be valid as long as our client continues to authorize this program. Once reinstated this account will be reported to the CBR's as an open account." This was for a Macy's account that went bad a couple years ago. Apparantly Macy's still owns the account.

I heard they where going bankrupt. I also disputed the entry on my credit report because it said they couldn't locate me and had no balances. IT GOT DELETED!!!! Bud hibbs has a lot of information on these jerks. Another one gone.
