I made some calls last week to settle some of our remaining cards that James didn't settle. I called Discover and they settled for 40%, payable by the end of the month. They seemed eager to settle it and gave me several days to make the payment. I waited on the fax to come explaining the terms, then sent a personal check by certified mail for the amount. The SAME day I settled for 40%, another person wrote me a letter saying that they had reviewed my account and would settle for 25% of the balance.

I had a loan with BIG-int sometime in 2006 - I wasn't keeping good records at the time, so I don't remember exactly when I took it out. It was for $200. I made some payments, and then got overwhelmed and ended up in NSF hell for a while, and had to close that account and open a new one. Their payments bounced for a couple of pay cycles and then the account was closed, and I heard nothing more from them. Until last Friday. I made the mistake of answering a call from "Private Name/Private Number". It was BIG.

wondering why my payment wasnt deducted from my acct

If an account is already closed and I have been paying it for years, will it affect my credit if I settle it? Can I ask them to delete it off the credit report totally if I settle it?

I took out a loan or took a rebate from this company. They gave me $300 and I have paid back $525. I am trying to pay them off but they say I need to pay another $429 to cancel the contract. How do I do this?

I have a loan with CashnetUSA - internet operation. 521.00 full amount owed. I currently live in Ohio. Received a call today from H and P Capital and was advised I have until 12p today to pay this loan in full. If not, I would be arrested at my home. I did default on the loan. I call Cashnet and was advised my account was sent to AIS and I called AIS and advised that I could send a cease and desist in 2 days but was told it was out of their hands and I need to call and ask to speak with a Supervisor.

I have several PDL's open and all are online loans except one. Since the one store front loan I have says they will prosecute me for writing a check on an account I am now trying to close (more on that in a bit) I am going to borrow the money from my mom to pay them off tomorrow. However, I still have 5 online loans.

I borrowed 340.00 from my cash now - several months ago - paid back 315.00 in fees plus 50.00 principle. I have more than paid them back. I changed my bank account in August - sent them an email and told them that I knew they were illegal in the state of florida - not licensed. I was informed by a Frank Joseph that since the company was from another company that I was obligated to pay or they would be filing a judgement against me. Can they do this?
