I am trying to get pre approved for a home loan and was told that I need to apply for a secured credit credit card so that I can establish credit history. Does anyone know a good way to get credit and/or what secured card is good? I already have a secured card through BOA, but I need to show two lines of credit history. Please help.

Can someone explain to me, in plain old fashioned English that I can understand, what in the heck "no pre-set spending limit" means? The main reason I am asking is I have a card with it, and when I called the bank to find out why, on my credit report, it is showing as a "$0" credit limit, they explained that if you have a "no pre-set spending limit" card, the limit never shows? Is that true, and does it make sense? Does it hurt my Credit Scored at all?

If I disputed an account online and via mail before, and it was "verified", why can't I dispute it online again? Do I have to send in a dispute letter all over again?

Hi I need some advice, I received a call from a Delanore, Kemper & Associates regarding a payday loan we had with Apple Fast Cash. They have threatened to file charges of check fraud against my husband because we had closed our account and went into debt consolidation. The loan was for $600 and we have paid them $300 already directly to Apple Fast and now this Delare place is trying to collect $1000 from us and threatening us. She called me again today and said they were filing a deposition, this place is in georgia.

I got a dunning letter from this law firm saying they represent Fortis Capital the owner of a former cc of mine. They wanted me to pay $3500 by Dec 3rd. I wrote them a letter back telling them I couldn't pay that amount all at once and could I make payment arrangements for $75 a month. They finally wrote back and said they were authorized to accept payments of $180 starting on the 20th of this month. I don't know what to do now, they is no way I can pay $180 a month, I could maybe swing it this month but I don't want to get into a situation where I know I can't afford it.

Ok, I have learned my lesson with checks. I never write them anymore (I don't even have any left but am thinking I should order them in case I need to withdrawl from my bank or set up direct deposit or something). Anyway, my question is for my co-worker. She wrote her landlord a check that might bounce. If it does bounce, she wanted to know how soon the landlord will know and if there is a grace period for her to fix it? For example, when i bounced with the grocery store, i know it went through twice before the store was even made aware.

has anyone ever been sued by cach with this lawyer Amelung, Wulff, Willenbrock & Pankowski they are located in saint louis mo. If you have are they all the ball or not. I have yet to be served papers but found it online court date 1/7/09. It shows they are going to serve me SUM, PET, EXHIBIT. Not sure what that is all about. I haven't paid on this card since 04 if it's the one I'm thinking it is. I'm cleaning my credit up so I don't have many out there I think it was my prodivan. But i didn't have the card when they went to washington mutal or who ever bought them.
