Can they legally add an additional $2500 to the original debt as lawyer fees??

does anyone know if greenlight funding and 4moneyandmore is legal or licensed in the state of mississippi. They are both internet payday loan compaines.since joining this site I have found lot of helpful info. From what I haver learned I am only responsible for principle amount..I have paid these compaines well over the principle amount.. Im trying to learn..what is the next step... What should I send them to let them what I have learned about their compaines and to stop calling me..

I took out a couple of payday loans back in june of 2007. I don't have the exact amount of money that was paid back to them but i do know i over paid them by several hundreds. They called my moms house a couple of weeks ago (not sure how they got that number) but they told her that they was going file charges if i didn't call them back by a set time. At first i was not sure who they was so i called them back. When i called them back i realized what it was for. Since then they have called me 3 times with threatning messages.

How much money up front will this Dept consolidation cost me?

Hi! I have a friend who has a couple internet PDLs that she has already paid the principal amount (and then some). I know where to check and see if they operate as a CSO, none of them do...but I don't know where to check online to see if these companies have a lending license. Is there an internet site that checks lending status in Texas so I can check them?

Years ago I went into default on my students loans. I had 8 from Wells Fargo that went to a CA. I am now out of default with these loans and have made regular payments for nearly 2 years but I have 8 negative hits on my credit from Wells Fargo. Am I doomed? Is there any way to get these cleaned up? Thanks, CK

Is it wise to quit making payments in the hope of getting debt settlement?

My story is pretty much the same as everyone else's...medical bills that I thought short term PDLs would help me meet... they did for awhile, but now they are out of control and I am facing having to lose everything just to get out of their control! My checking account is $1500 overdrawn since they continue to debut my account, even after I asked them to stop and I have been making moneygram payments. They fail to post the moneygram payments on time and now I seem to keep having the same balance that never decreases.

I was unable to obtain banking information for four months due to personal circumstances. During that period of time my account was hacked and all my money was stolen. The thief transfered funds to his Wachovia account. I am so upset, that was the only money I had for food and housing. This thief used his knowledge of my inability to check into account activity, knowing I would be too late to get the money back. I feel so violated. Do I have any recourse other than filing a police report?
