can you do a debt consolidation for bills that are in collection

Overwhelmed in NY!!! Please help if you can - thanks for reading my post! I have 8 quickloans and have been paying since JUly but can no longer - health issues and money issues. I have looked on this web site and wonder if I am understanding the postings... If I have paid the principal plus finance fee can I instruct my bank (Citizens Bank) to stop allowing them to take my money?? These Quickloans are in NY. My Bank is Citizens Bank Quickloans are Midland, Paycheck Today, Amoline Ent Aom CAN Payday Services Direct Pay GECC PDL Any advice would be great! Thanks, Lisa

I hope I can get an answer here.... I have taken my first class at the University of Phoenix and my next one isnt going to start until Nov 11. I need to leave school.....what happens to the remaining funds of my Federal Loan? Do i get that back? I understand I have to pay it back and my first class had already been paid for, but the school has $3000 of the loan residual for my future classes. Thanks!!

I received this e-mail from our States financial institution that governs Padyayloans. .alleges in her complaint that one Kevin Andrews of Check N Go called her workplace, on October 17, 2008, and spoke with one of her associates. She alleges that Mr. Andrews "stated that there seemed to be some sort of 'affidavit' continued to talk to the associate that if I did not call 888-995-0615, a summons would be issued. He also contacted my parents and stated the same thing.

Has anyone had to deal with these two pdl companies? I have overpaid the original loan amount in just fees are they at all helpful if you try to call to see if they will consider this paid in full? Also does anyone know the laws in NC about internet payday loans?

Hi Everyone! I'm new here. Name's Gary I'm looking for a little advice, and perhaps someone to talk to. I got in to real estate way over my head, now I have to choose between foreclosure of at least 2 homes or total bankruptcy down the road. I've always had great credit, but I just missed my first payment. The mortgage company is calling but their not exactly trying to help the situation. I'm kind of thinking it is better to stop the bleeding now, rather then putting myself in a worse position later on. Looking for any advice? :(

Does the creditor write off the cancelled debt as lost income?

I am going to file chapter 7, one of my debts is a judgment. I was supposed to pay this creditor every month for 6 months, and I have, but after the 6 months they will want the full amount, which I don't have. Is that going to be looked upon as fraud in bankruptcy court because I am filing as soon as the full payment is due? I haven't skipped any payments so far.

With the passage of the most recent laws, does that mean that pdls will no longer be available in ohio period?
