Question: can i check my credit?

Citibank - I owe 22K ( well it was like 19 but grows) I am about 3-4 months behind. They said they would do 230 a month @ 0% interest for 12 months to get me back on my feet. Only thing is they require a draw from a Bank account. I thought I would go and get another account and make sure there is 230.00 in there on there day. Does that sound right ? or is it a scam and they end up screwing you. The girl I talked to sounded 18 yrs old but american

I owe about $2,500 on a Bank of America credit card. I am a substitute teacher and have falledn behind on the payments, i have been paying less than the minimum which is $70 a month. they say i am 90 days behind but have not offered a settlement. They want to put me on a hardship program but i dont qualify because of my job/income. Has anyone had any experience dealing with them? settlement? Been researching debt collection for weeks! Sleepless nights, etc. I've got a good one for you. Here's the situation: Initial contact from CA (attorney) October 8, 2007 attempting to collect a 28,000 debt. Responded one week later disputing the debt and was sent an old credit card statement for an account which no longer appears on my credit report. Didn't know about the Statue of limitations at the time but know now that the original account is past the SOL, and has been sold three times. So I didn't respond thinking I'll see what happens. Nothing for almost a year til now.

I guess it's not only the people being affected by the economy. I read this artical and I was heartbroken hearing that people are leaving their pets in their homes when their home is in forclosure. How could someone do that.

hi, i'm new here and in debt just like everyone else, wow I thought I was the only one with trouble. The thing is between the collection calls from the debt trolls, the stories I have been reading from this board, like the debt collectors agreed to a payment plan, then changed their mind, the harrassing calls and threats, the over charging, sometimes I just feel like saying "take me to court" just to get it over with. I mean it feels like a no win situation it almost seems like a blessing for a judge to decide on a amount and be done with it. Does anyone else feel like this?

Has anyone heard of Can Des debit?

i'm new here and in debt like everyone else,can't believe the stories you always think you are the only one-anyway it almost does'nt seem worth paying these trolls known as debt collectors, when it seems at any given time they can still sue you and /or add more fees or simply do whatever they like. I almost want to say "take me to court" just to get it over with. anyone else feel like this?
