I have contacted several companies about my situation, i have 8 paydays & I have been current but I can't afford to pay them off; my debt is about $2000 alsong with $500 in cc bills, $3000 in hospital bills & about 1000 in other bills. Which way should I go. I am cosiderfing bk; I make $26k a year.

I have a new account through Suntrust(thanks to this site) and I tried to order my checks through Checks in the Mail. Well I just got a rejection letter due to EWS...so it seems as if they are no longer an option... So now what?

i had law suit filed aginst me from a collection agecy and got a default judgement intered and I disputed it and the courts sent me a letter giving the plaintff has 30 days to respon back now what is the next step what Kind of respons am Ilooking for from the plaint.

they toke money out of my account also. 19.95 how can i get this back, they did not have my promission, to take it out please some one help me,

I just found out that my bank account has been garnished by a credit card collection agency. I am in total shock and need advice from those this has happened to. The paperwork (Writ of Execution) was signed by the judge on 10/1, but i didn't receive anything in the mail until 10/17. I have not received any notice from my bank. My account is usually in the negative, so I am not sure how they will garnish on a negative balance. How long does the bank have to freeze funds? Will they wait until funds are there before they freeze?

Seeking some input from everyone.. I went with a debt settlement company in early July. My accounts are now 3 months past due. I have 16 credit cards (I KNOW, SICK) and 3 have now gone to collections. Last night my Mom called and one of the collection agency (encore) called her looking for me. I totally feel like a failure and then to have them call my Mom. I have not talked with any of the creditors and I have been avoiding picking up the phone. The other 2 went with GC Services Collection company. In your experience, is it common for them to call you neighbors and family?

Can student loans and IRS be included in debt consolidation?

I just wanted to let you all know that Cashnet USA does A Chexsystem Check on you when you apply for a loan. My report was clean, but it was interesting to see their inquiry which is dated around the time I loaned from them. They are one of my PDL's that I arranged an EPP with because they are legal. I ordered it just for the heck of it to see what it looks like and what information in contains. It was pretty uneventful except for recent inquiries. I opened up a new bank account about 10 days ago and it also appeared as an inquiry on the report.

what's the usual fee for debt settlement. this attorney will be charging me and my husband 12% of our debt 60,000. it's also going to be an overtime payment to him. He is under the name lal law- office is in Natomas, Ca. He was referred to us by our modification loan representative to our home.
