What kind of response can you expect from a credit card company when they get a letter like your sample: "Close my account and accept my monthly payment of X with a new balance that is 50% of the old? Jls

i divorced in 2004 & let a car go back to honda finance; in 2007 i was sent a 1099c from honda finance to file with my taxes; i paid taxes on the charged off amount; now northstar wants me to pay them because they bought the bought the debt; am i obligated to pay again? i had to treat what was charged off like income. please advise

I was just wondering if anyone had heard how Mike and his family are doing? Have not seen anything about him in a while, unless I missed it somewhere.

I live in Texas. I had gotten a PDL with Check N Go online last year and due to money problems was unable to pay it. I am now receiving calls from someone named Kevin Carlson who says he is a process server in Tarrant County and Check Resolution Services is trying to serve me with a summons for theft by check, internet fraud, etc, but if I could work out an arrangement with the company (he gave me my client no & phone number 888-995-0615) he wouldn't have to serve this summons. First off, since when do process servers care enough to try to help you?!

I live in Arizona. So i have paid this company well over $700 on a $200 loan. I closed my bank account in August and they are finally calling. I am not answering. They left a messaging saying they are going to start contacting my manager and my HR department. They said they have a recording of me saying they are able to take the money straight from my pay check. Can they do this? I have already conacted my HR department and I am waiting to hear back. I am freaking out. What do I do? They are an illegal company right? What action are they able to take against me?

They are illegally loaning in my state, but no one govt wise will help. Does anyone have a history with them that i can use to educate myself before I call them back? The last supervisor I talked to said he would call me back but never did. The bank told me that if I signed papers saying they can take the money out they will have to force the account open. I am willing to pay them but I want to see if they will make a deal with me. Does anyone know any history on this? I haven't found anything relavent on the search engine yet...

I got a call from John Britton again today. It's in reference to two checks that didn't clear my account (because it was wiped out by someone). These were not paper checks. They were debited electronically. I know you can go to jail for writing a bad check, can you go to jail for bouncing an electronic (check by phone) check? But this is what happened today. So first he calls my house and leaves this message on my ANSWERING MACHINE: "This message is for anc526. This is John Britton calling with the final adjustment department at ACS. You bounced 2 checks, both checks we had bounced.

I have 6 PDLs now and I have set up EPP with 3 of them (all storefronts). all of my loans are for $800 so I cannot afford to do EPPs right now for all 6. I was going to reloan the other 3 and just keep borrowing less and less until they are paid and at some point see if EPP can be set up -For Checksmart,Cashland, and Cash Inn. Does anyone know if the EPPs I have in place will keep me from borrowing from other PDLs?

I am SOOO confused... I thought a FICO score was the main credit score, and that there was only 1 of them. So I went on Fico dot com, and it shows a different score for each of the 3 Credit Reporting Agencies? Help explain please!
