Mi wife began getting calls a few months ago- I wasn't aware of it at first. She thought it was simply some scammers. They went on about a judgment against her, but she usually cut them off and hung up. These calls became more frequent and so we traced some of them back to "law firm" in PA, Joel Cardis LLC. They had my wife's name exactly right, but- really- there is no judgment against her and she owes nothing to anyone (yes- that rare American). So we knew they wrong, but couldn't figure out how this had started.

What are these encash DTCC points, can you really turn them in for cash or is there some catch. I've seen alot of members with high points, wonder why they wouldn't cash them in.

How much can they take per month in the state of virginia for the above.

Can anyone tell me what a charge off is? If something is charged off but I then contact the company and offer to pay will they mark it as paid in full on my credit report and then remove it if requested? Also I was talking with one of my credit card companies (chase) and they told me if I do a settlement it will go on my credit report as paid but not in full and they will not remove, it will stay for 7 years and even drop my credit score 10 to 40 points. I am approx.

I have sent the letters, closed my account but none of the companies want to work or even talk to me. The companies are loanpoint, chieftan, and two went to collections, husk hawk group, summit group. STC advance was a lot of back and forth but they have seemed to have left me alone. They have not bothered me for a month, they also claim they are in Malta which totally not true. I am just so sick of this and I just want it over with. Before I actually set up with Langhorne, can someone please tell me if you had any luck with any of these and if so, how did you do it?

Does anyone reside in Pennsylvania & have payday loans? I currently have about 10 that I owe (or so they say) - I have paid most of them well over what the PA law states 9.50 per/$100 or 24% per/year.

i purchased my home 02 years ago. i was then laid off. the job that i have now, is just that, a job. i'm not making nearly as much as i use to and my mortgage payment is just to much. what/how can i get my payment lowered so that i wont loose my house?

I need more information on these types of letters so I can send them out. Where is the books section of this forum, I read templates are located there but I cannot find them.
