I have garnishments which I can not afford due to old defaulted student loans. With the garnishments, I get only $800/mo working full time, and my monthly expenses are over $1600. I am sinking quickly and need to know how to file an exemption from garnishment due to financial impossibility, or what my alternatives are. I am working on filing chapt 7 on my own, and will work with the lenders to restructure my student loans after my 7 is done, but for now, it is impossible foe me to make my current obligations. Please advise.

If you have a $0 balance on a credit card when you file ch7, can you keep that cc after the chapter 7? Or will the cc company revoke your privileges?

I just got off the phone with a rather unpleasent gentleman from CTC. He is threatening to attach my wages if I do not pay in full tomorrow. I am willing to make payments but they will have none of it. I know I need to send a letter revoking my wage assignment but what if they take action before they recieve it? Also should I just start sending payments? I want to get this paid off unfortunaltely I cannot do it in full.

Since I have closed my bank account I have paydayloanyes calling at all times. Is there any way that I can stop the calls and harrasment? The number they are calling from is 302-791-9666. Thanks for the help

Does anyone know if BIG Limited is legal in Arizona? I have been fighting with them and i am not about to give them more money. I just want to make sure I am speaking the truth when i tell them they are not legally allowed to lend to AZ residents and they have not followed Arizona laws,which state only 3 roll overs and I have already paid this company $725 on a $200 loan since Feb. 2008. So I think its fair to say that I have paid them back. I just want to make sure there is not further action they can actually take. My luck they are legal in AZ...any advice is greatly appreciated :)

Does anyone know if the below IPDL companies are illegal in SC? GFS (Global Financial Srvs) borrowed $300 have paid so far $230;Geneva Roth(borrowed $400 pd back $120 so far); UpFront(borrowed $700 pd back $630 so far);MyCashNow (borrowed $460 pd back $159.20 so far) also I was approved for one with Lakota Cash..they put the loan thru on 9/22 I called on 9/23 to cancel and they told me they couldn't since it was pending on my banks side..called my bank & they said company could take money back..still wtg on sup. from Lakota cash to call me back.

When a judgement is enterned, are you supposed to receive anything in the mail notifying you? And how fast do they act on collecting?

This loan company is no help to noone. I advise anyone out there to do not use them at all. THIS IS SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!

I have my 341 meeting this friday, nerve wracking enough, and in the paperwork sent to me regarding the meeting it said I needed my social security card, I can not find the original! Will a copy suffice?
