My husband had an M&T Bank account that was overdrafted a while ago. I got a call from someone named Lee who said he was from Mercantile Adjustment. We agreed on a payment plan and I started to give him my checking account info. My call ended up getting disconnected. I hadn't had the money to pay my phone bill so it got shut off. I wasn't able to reach him and since he called from an unlisted number I had no call back for him. My phone gets turned back on and today he calls. He asks for my husband or my mother-in-law. My 70 year old mother-in-law who lives 8 hours away!

If I close my bank account can the payday loans still withdrawn from a closed account?

Hello all-This website has been very eye opening-I spoke with a very nice CS Rep from PDL assistance, and he made it seem like this was going to be the best step I've ever taken in signing up with PDL Assistance. I've since then had serious doubts about whether or not to sign their contract, but my question is, how do I settle these by myself? What direction do I go in?

If have a rental (broken LEASE)on my credit from North Carolina,where I lived for a year (SOL is 3 yrs), and I now live in NY, do I go by the SOL in NC or NY? NY is 6 yrs. Would I be able to use this to have it removed from my CR?

I borrowed 200 dollars from Midland Financial and Sand Point Capital and I've paid over 360 dollars back to both of them. They are robbing me. Can anyone tell me how to get away from this? I'm tired of paying them and not getting anywhere. I think I've paid them what I owe already. Please HELP!!
