Hey all ~ I am sorry for not being on here very much. As you know, things have been a little hectic with us and lately we have been kind of going thru a grieving process for one of our beloved pets that we had to put down 2 weeks ago today. But we are getting better. Just found out, and I am not suppose to know this, the guys here are are getting me another puppy, a cocker spaniel. It is a female and is black. Like I said, I am not suppose to know this. I will be getting her once she is able to leave her mommy.

My home phone service offers a 'call blocking" feature, which allows me to reject specific phone numbers. Yesterday, I started getting calls from ER Solutions, which I blocked. in reading about how nasty they are, I am wondering if anyone has any experience on how they will retaliate to me blocking their calls. I know I have the right not to take their calls, but I am rather worried. Any help would be appreciated.

My original Sears account was charged off and sold to LVNV LLC. I DV them within 30 days of their first notice and it has been well past 30 days and I have not received any response from LVNV. I got letter from Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A, saying they are collecting for LVNV. They called me at work. Who is Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A?? Are they CA or law firm? Should I worry about law suit? Thanks in advance.

Paid off large sum of money to a utility company who never shut off utilities as requested when I moved. 6 months later in another state I see a 1300 entry on my 3 cb reports. I paid the stupid thing after trying to dispute it as fraudulent. Now they have sold the stupid thing to another company. Good news is the AG in Pa. has taken on this case. My ? is can anyone recollect this debt with the PAID IN FULL letter in my possession? Have sent the 30 day validation notice to the new collection agency containing the copy of PIF letter. They have 5 days to validate this debt.

Hi. I was wondering how I could request "validation" and or info regarding a Verizon bill which the original creditor still holds. I did send a validation letter and was told that they are not bound by fdcpa. State laws? The AG in Pa. has taken on this issue as well as the Pa. Utilities Commission, however this debt occurred when I was in another state. Will try to find state laws but anyone having knowledge please post back. My sincerest thank you.

I AM LOOKING INTO GOING THROUGH A debt settlement PROGRAM,CAN YOU GIVE ME A FEW NAMES OF SOME TRUSTWORTHY AND REPUTABLE ONES?

In order to payoff debt faster I am considering debt settlement. However, if I pursue such action there is a potential of a lawsuit and collectors harrassing me until the debt has been settled and paid. Thus, my question is in regards to the state laws in Virginia to protect consumers in a debt settlement process. For example in Texas debt settlement clients will have their wages completely protected from being garnished, which will give the collector all the more reason to settle.

I have on payday loan that I have not paid I am planning on paying. But they have called me and asked for the money now. They have called my work and started asking questions. they called me yesterday and told me had to pay the full amount or they would start taking money out of my pay check. I told thme I would have the money in two to three weeks but they said no Friday by 3 pm. I don't know if I signed any paper work that would let them take money out of my paycheck. But I have been told in Texas they cannot. they will not take payments.
