Any forums on discussing insurance options?

17 years 8 months ago
Does anyone know a good place to go to discuss insurance options? I have health insurance through work - but not dental. I think I'm going to go with a discount plan vs. insurance - but are they reputable? Also, I'm interested in whole life insurance. How can I find out which is the most reputable?

How do you go about getting out of debt?

17 years 8 months ago
I am just recently coming off of breast cancer treatments. I am so far behind on all of my bills. I get calls constantly from debt collectors during the day. I am trying to make payments to everyone as I can but, as you might suspect, some collectors are very aggressive. I also have two payday loans left I am trying to get paid off. I know taking these out was stupid but I was so far behind at one time, I had no choice. I am feeling rather overwhelmed by all of this. How do I even go about getting out of all of this and paying all of these people?

Do it myself!!!

I, almost, signed up for a debt consolidation with a company called "Fidelity debt Consolidation". They said I could settle my debt of $24,890.00 for less than $14500.00. In my first month and second I would pay $670.00 dollars, which it would go for them. They told me after that I would pay $430.00 for 30 months, which the many would go to a trust fund under my name. MY problem with that is there too many fees, from them and I also would have to pay $9.99 for maintance on my trust fund account, plus $25.00 for each payment for the settlement accounts.

I called AIP today ( 800-274-4159 ) and spoke to a Maggie, who transfered me to her supervisor Franny. I spoke to them about my paying 1500 on a pdl of 200 since feburay. I was told they were governed by the laws of england. I was very polite to the woman and told her that in my state, she needed to be licensed to do pdl's and that the company was not, nor were they abiding by the state limits. I explained that I over paid by 1200 so far and that I was not looking for a refund, but simply to have it considered PIF.

Help with my PDL's in Illinois

17 years 8 months ago
Please help I have 8 PDL's and can't repay all at once. Some of them are helping me out and giving me settlements but I still can't pay the amount or frequency they want. I have closed my bank account so they are beginning to contact me but I know it is just going to get worse. I have contacted PDL Eliminators and payed them $200 start up fee but am now thinking about cancelling them because they do not even start helping until their fee is paid wich is about $1300.00. Can anyone help me or tell me what to do or if this is legal.

If your wages are being garnished for student loans can a credit card creditor garnish your wages at the same time?

Usfast cash- still trying to collect on an old ipdl?

17 years 8 months ago
OK- Yes, I was stupid enough to take out a ipdl over 2 years ago. It was USFAST CASH. I paid several roll-overs on this account even though it is not allowed in my state (IN). Heard nothing for the longest time. Now, I am getting emails almost everyday from these idiots. US Fast Cash Department now holds account #349490-0 which is in the final stages of collection. According to our records, your outstanding balance is $400.00.

Debt Management and Student loans Question

17 years 8 months ago
Is there a debt management company who will include student loans. I know there has to be at least one that isn't a total scam. I'm juggling a small fortune in student loan debt and have been considering a dmp because I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to juggle alone.
