My credit card balance was charged off by the bank. Can the bank still access interest and fees on my balance even though it was charged off? If they can, isn't it illegal to do this?

since its illegal here in ny can these pdl companies sue you in ny iam sure they will say they will sue and that they can but can they really i am assuming that they can't

I have a total of six pay day loans MTE, Loan SHop, United Cash Loans, Pay CO, Zip 19, and One CLick. I have reviewed may of the forums about the process it appears all these lenders are illegal, I am in Indiana, I have closed my account, and plan to contact BBB, attorney general, and FTC as well as sending emails and letters to these companies revoking all arangements and authorizations. 1. Twice this week we have gotten calls from MCM regarding an "old" Fingerhut debt. Since I've never even had a Fingerhut account I tried the explain they had the wrong person. The ONLY info they had correct was my name! The address is not nor ever has been mine, the social, and the name is even misspelled. How can I get these jerks to stop calling me?

My dad passed away many months ago. His wishes were to be cremated, half his furneral was paid by the state, the other half from cc cash advances. I have recently filed bk chapt 7, my petition is not completed yet, but I am now being pressured by his siblings and mother since I am next of kin, to buy him a plot at a cemetery. He did not have life insurance. I apparently do not have any $$ b/c I am filing. I brought my dad home thinking that I would keep him and maybe bury him with me someday, but this is not good for his family. They want a place to visit him.
