Okay, here's my situation with Law Offices of Howard Schiff for my Discover card (by timeline-below) 7/24: I received summons. 7/31: They sent me letter offering 70% settlement. 8/11: I answered the summons to court and to the law office. (local) 8/11: I also counter-offer to 50% settlement (they said I could try to do that in writing) - separate mailing - corporate office 8/12: I sent Discovery to Howard Schiff 8/14: Yesterday I got a letter from my court for Case Management Discovery Day (scheduled for Dec) I want to settle but can't settle any more than 50%. I don't want to go to court.

i had a very bad month in july. I am late on all my bills. And to top it off, I have paid almost 1500 in overdraftfees!!!!!!!!!!! I found some great info on this board regarding who to contact in getting them reversed. But should i write a letter to the ceo of Bankof america, or call the Exectuive Customer relations line first ? Also what should i say to plead my case? thanks in advance

obvious scare tactic. illegal/unlicensed payday loan. got a payday loan of 200 from them, saying i will have to pay them 2,500 after it's all said and done. cant make this up lmao After repeated attempts to resolve this with you on a mutual voluntary arrangement, you have made it quite clear that we must forward your account to our Litigation Dept. We have exhausted all avenues to resolve this with you and at this point this is the only way we can be assured our funds will be recouped.

Has anyone ever heard of this company? Their BBB rating seems good. Thanks[/right]

Ok this is embarrassing but i took out a payday loan , and i noticed that money keeps coming out of my account to the company FAST CASH. Thing is I dont remember the website of the company i took the payday loan out from. I want to pay it off because I dont want them to continue to take out 150 from my account every 2 weeks!! how can i find out what company this is ? Thank you

Hi there, July was a bad month for me and my boyfriend. We didnt pay any bills and were hit with 1225 in overdraft fees from my bank. We are now past due with all our bills. Im overwhelmed and dont know where to start. My rent check for august was returned and i have to provide a certified check to the landlord today plus a 50 dollar fee. I have that money bc we got paid today. But I need to know what bills to pay first and what to do. I am very afriad because i have been trying to rebuild my credit and I dont want this month of bad jdgement/bad luck to screw me ! Please help
