I have about $6,700.00 of debt .on Credit card is in collections with a due amount of about 2500, the other is about 3700. and the other 600. I cant get a loan from a bank because of the one in collections. I cant afford the monthly payments for all of them i dont know what to do.

After many phone calls to citi we finally had a payment plan I could agree to. I needed to set up a checking acct and call them back with info. I was told I had till dec 13, but I found out the hard way that my acct was transferred to CA and that I would have to deal with them from now on. What BS. Anyways what are my steps for dealing with this CA? Should I just offer them same deal? What to do now?

I swear after I deal with a collection agency and send them cease and desist / debt validation letter everything goes calm for 2 months before they sell my information to another agency and they start harassing me and I have to start the process over again. I CANNOT find any information on this new place. For the last 3 days they have called me two times a day leaving a message saying they are going to serve me. They also call my sister saying the same thing.

I have been contacted by Legacy Asset Mgmt regarding an account that my husband had. I was never on the account. My husband is now in an alzheimers facility so I cannot ask him about this. The person has threatened to file a lawsuit and even take my home. What is my liability on this? And, hasn't the original company already written off the balance any way. These collectors are just looking for payment since they get a percentage of what they collect.

:mad:12 years ago my ex wife made a purchase on my name after a divorce. I disputed the charges with the credit bureau. Asset acceptance still reported on my credit for 8 years pass the sol. When it was finally removed from my report, they filed a judgement against me for the same account. The paper was served to my teenage son going out of the house with his friend. He lost the document. And i found out when i ran my credit report. went to court to check the filing status. And my my 16 year son was listed as my brother. i never had the chance to defend myself cause i was never served.

Hi What can I do about Bayside Cash reporting on my credit report? The are in illegal company in my state. I worked out payment with them and sent all my letters, and they just hit my credit report, twice. Can they do this? What can I do?

My mortgage with WF is 3 months behind. I have spoken with collections many, many times. I have filled out the borrower work sheet 2x. The first time they told me I had money left over and should pay them (???), the next time they said I had NO money and they couldn't help. The only offer they have made to date was to skip one payment and then pay additional for the next 2 months. I have explained I was in an auto accident and can't work. My husband works all the over time he can get and we have sold everything we have to sell. My oldest son even cuts and sells firewood to help out...
