I am way in over my head with these PDL's and I think someone above is telling me now is the time to handle this. I had to close my checking account last week due to the US National Bank Scam. I have asked, re-asked and am told that NO transactions will be allowed thru the account, no matter how it is presented. I will have to call all of these lenders to get exact dates that I have started paying but some of them go back pretty long. I live in the state that is wishy washy, PA. I have a student loan that is defaulted. The loan was made in early of 1990 and since i was of the country for the last 15 years i was not able to pay the loan. Now i am back but want to pay small amount monthly and requested a promissory note from the collection agency but couldn't provide one. What do i do

Okay here we go. I've been with Lawgistix in Florida since 2004. I signed up with three cards. Two have since been settled so I thought all was well. That was until this past Friday. My Captiol One went to another collection agency and they needed my contact information to Lawgistix. I told them I'd get back to them with the information. Well I can't get nothing but dis-connected numbers.

First of all let me say that I am so glad I came upon this site. I have learned a lot and I'm feeling more confident that I will be able to get out of this payday loan trap I'm in. I have 3 internet loans. They are: CashnetUsa: Principal $650; Interest $118; paid so far in extension fees $266 Cashadvancenetwork: Principal $300; refinance amount $90, paid so far in refinance fees $180 BahamaMarketingGroup (BMG) Principal $200; fee $60, paid so far in fees $180. I can no longer afford to have over $500 in fees debited from my account each month.

What are the laws pertaining to original creditors in terms of third-party involvement, harrassment, threats, ect. Please in responding not that I am speaking about the ORIGINAL creditor - they are not, as far as I am aware, covered under Fair Debt collection Act. Thank you in advance.

A company acquired the business I worked and instead of being payed on the 1st and 15th of every month the company choose to put all salary employees every two weeks for it to be all one pay day for the building. They had to go back and give everyone with the change an advance but in May we had 3 pay periods and they took the advance they gave is in January out of the checks in May. Since then I've had to take out walk in loans and online loans. I have all the papers at work for the exact amounts and interest on them but it totals to be 16 loans between 300$ and 900$.

Portfolio bought a charged off account in July 2007, I looked at my credit report today 8/10 and they have added over $2500.00 in interest to the original balance owed on the debt and since they purchased the debt. I've sent them several DV letters and they have yet to respond. Can they continue to add interest to a debt once it has been charged off and then fail to validate?
