I live in New York and I have 7 loans , ameriloan 200 pd Payday2go 300 pd 900 oneclickcash 350 pd 735 nls 275 pd 501 SGQ 200 pd 420 worldwide cash 300 have been paying for a year apx 2314 mte financial 300 pd 150 I have read that in NY they are illegal, but how does that translate in reality? What steps can I take now? If I close my account, I know they will harrass me at work and I am not allowed personal calls at work, so I would lose my job. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, I was recently laid off and have about $15K in credit card debt. This was OK when I was working but with no income making payments is going to be impossible. I currenlty have decent credit (680) and would like to keep it that way. Any suggestions on which avenue to take so I can get my debts paid off and keep my credit rating? Thanks a ton for the help. so tomorrow im planning on going to al lmy places to let them know that i need payment plans and or they need to know that im thinking of filing for bankruptcy because i cannot pay these things anymore. i withdrew all my money out of my account and opened a new one. is there something that i can take to these people to document what im going to do, to revoke my authorization to debit my acct? i live in texas. im so seriously about this and i need to do the same for my husband. please advise of what it is i need to take or say.

Hi everybody, I have a quick question. I sent in a debt validation letter to Federated Financial Corporation of America. They responded back by putting the debt on my personal credit reports and they also sent a letter stating this debt does not fall under the fdcpa because it is commercial business debt. Where can I find more information to dispute and have then validate this debt? Any assitance is greatly appreciated. :D

I am being charged more than the allowable 15% of face value of the checks on the 5 payday loans I have storefront. Can I fight them on this.? long story short.....Midland credit has a collection account on my credit report that i do not own. They say that the account was purchased from Verizon. I have sent them two DV letters but they have not responded. My student loan company tells me that i must pay the debt before being able to get a loan and i only have two weeks. WHAT DO I DO? Can i Just pay the debt and then send a letter to the CRAs requesting that the negative marks be removed? Please help.

does anyboday know minnesota collection agency laws.. do they have to be licensed in minnesota or can they be licensed anywhere just as long as there licesned in there home state and follow fdcpa laws

Has anyone been through Bright Credit's program and if so what did you think? I am in Georgia and they are in Colorado. But I am told that they can do things in all states. The website is brightcredit.com. Any input would be appreciated
