Hello...Is there anyone on this forum that can clarify exemption codes from the enforcement of judgement? Specifically, CCP 704.130, CCP 706.050 and CCP 706.051. (Sorry, I don't know how to do that squiggly thing after the CCP.) A levy has been placed on my bank account which my husband is the primary holder. The judgement is only against myself. The money in the account are only his wages and disability compensation from worker's comp. Can I use any of these codes to remove the levy? I live in California. Thank you!

Hello, I hear these days do it yourself debt settlement is becoming very popular, it helps save money and avoid scams, and actually it looks like creditors would rather speak to the client themselves. Does anyone know of any good do it yourself companies out there that will provide great training?

This is not a typical payday nightmare, but the story shows that payday companies have no problem to get their cash from anywhere, and anyhow. I applied for a loan with paychecktoday July 20/2008. Right before submitting the application, I noticed that their check box for 'agreeing to the terms and condition' contained some other information too. It included a statement, that by checking the checkbox, not only do I agree to terms and conditions, but also to be charged $19.95 by Authority ID for their identity protection program. Well, I didn't check the check box, just clicked continue.

I sent LVNV a DV letter cmrrr...8/6/08 is the date validation is due back to me. Today on my home answering machine a message was left from Weltman, Wineberg & Reis (sp) asking me to contact them. In doing a search on this forum, I've learned they are attornerys and/or a collection agency. My question is...are they acting on behalf of LVNV in an attempt to collect a debt or does this mean LVNV has sold the debt to WW&R? Any idea anyone?

You guys have been very patient with me which I greatly appreciate. I really do try and read through old postings as much as I can so I don't repeat things. But I'm a working mom to four (3-17) and my husband is currently out of the country so my time is limited. Got a few more questions regarding settlement via a settlement company. If this is really the case, will there be any effect on the accounts my husband and I own jointly? 2.

We are small business owners who have not taken a paycheck for the last 3 months in order to secure our employees' payroll. quick question - we have 2 parent loans for our son. I wanted to consolidate, but Sallie Mae is not doing that right now - ok, whatever, I am trying to pay these off in 4 years, so I am paying way over the minimum, but do I pay the most on the older one with a lower balance of $8000, or on the newer one with a balance of $10000. I am not sure which one to pay the most on. Our interest is 8.6% thanks
