Question-of-the-Week (QOW) Promotion Strategy

17 years 9 months ago
Hi, I want to discuss as well as need suggestion on Question-of-the-Week (QOW). For the last couple of months we have started a new section called "Question-of-the-Week" (QOW). We are getting some very good answers every week. But we want more participation of our members in this section. According to me, one of the possible reasons for such low turn-out in the "Question-of-the Week" section is lack of information among our members about this section and the Reward of $50 associated with it.

First off hello all...I work 40+ hours now and still try to take care of my family..so that leaves me with very little time to keep up here...but I am trying again. :) Anyhow I thought you all should hear this latest tactic a collector is trying....ok...they sent me a letter stating that they have set up an appointment for me to come into their office and discuss my 'unfortunate debt situation'. can you believe that????:):):) An appointment..*rolls eyes* Sheesh.

First of all, I want to say what a great forum this is! I'm learning a lot, thanks! I don't even know where to begin with this agency, so I'll do my best to keep this simple. I got a summons to appear in court back in April over an old credit card. I went to court, and the attorney asked me if I wanted to settle. I knew that the ammount they were asking was WAY off,(by at least $2,000!) so I didn't say a word. She then asked me if I felt I owed the money, I told her there was no way I owed that much money. Since it didn't get resolved that day, we got a continuance.

Divorce or no divorce for bankrupty Chapter 13

17 years 9 months ago
My wife and I have about $40000 in unsecured debt, we are at a point where we need to file bankruptcy and have been told that by a credit counselor. The problem is my wife owns half of her grandmothers home and we've been told that the courts would take the house. Her grandmother still lives in the house. Is it possible for me to file bankruptcy on my own without her on it? We've even talked about possibly getting divorced so that I could file bankruptcy and she would not lose her grandmothers home. We are desperate at this point.

Too many open accounts, not informed about or denied

17 years 9 months ago
Hey guys, I did not know that it was against the law to have more than one outstanding payday loan until I found your sight today, and started doing some research. This is a dirty business! I wave four loans out at this time. These fees are killing me! I actually am not going to receive another paycheck until August 22, but they are due to debit fees on August 8, since I do not have the funds to repay the loans in full. What recourse do I have? All of the loans were authorized and transacted online. Are online loans easier to dispute or what?

settlement companies

Why can't people endorse settlement companies on this website? After much research here, I have no other choice but to choose settlement over BK. Does anyone here have experience with New Life Debt relief.org?
