How can I stop the collection agencies reaging tactics.

Hello everyone. It's been about a week since James Lombardo closed his forum and about 3 months since he has responded to messages in that forum. Please contact me off the board and let me here your story. I dare former clients to check with their creditors for copies of agreements to verify that he din't rip them off like others I know of (said he settled for one amount and actually settled for a lot less and then pocketed the difference). Not looking for non-client feedback.

I just received a very disturbing call from an aggressive individual who sounded like he was calling from over seas. He stated I had defrauded on an internet pay day loan - which I have not. He had my bank account number, but social security number and my work info - he called me on my work number. He stated I need to be in county court tomorrow at 11:00 am (Saturday) and the phone number he provided me to Midland Marketing was, in fact, the number HE was calling from. I am terribly worried and don't know what to do.....have you any experience with this type of situation???? HELP!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know of a law firm that could review settlement letters? I want to make sure I'm covered.

I just checked the status of my complaint against Cash Transfer Centers and the Status states "NM- Complaint Validated use OTTO" does anyone know what this means? I hope it doesn't mean it's a valid debt??? :(

I applied a couple of weeks ago for an American Airlines credit card online. I was not entirely surprised when I was denied, because even though I have no open collections on my credit reports, I do have a few things that have made my credit shaky. Fast forward to today. I get a phone call at work from someone at CitiBank, she apologized for calling me at work but she wanted to speak to me about the application for an American Airlines Citibank card that I had applied for online.

i have 2 payday loans in the amount of 550 dollars, I have paid back well over 2600 dollars. This is higher than the interest rates that florida allows how do I stop them thank you
