Hello, it's been awhile since I wrote on this particular board. back in maybe March/April, I was overwhelmed with several loans. With the help of this wonderful board, I have settled with most. The only one left is Geneva Roth. I have taken many loans out with them in the past. (They said since 2006). I have paid thousands in illegal fees. The last loan I took out was for $500 and I have not paid anything on it because I than shut down my bank accounts. I live in NJ and it is my understanding that these loans are prohibited.

One great easy way to make some extra money is focus groups or research studies. If you live near a big city there are probably a few companies that do these all the time. They usually pay $50 to $400, and just require you to show up and give your opinion! Sometimes you even get to try out new products. I know in my area there are a few places that advertise on craigslist . . . . I've done a few, and it never takes more then 2 hours or so, and you get paid at the end. In my area they even give you a free meal.

I am a bit surprised that more isn't mentioned on here about growing your own vegetable/fruit gardens, fruit trees, raising chickens for eggs and/or meat, fishing, hunting etc. I can't believe how much I've saved at the store since my garden started producing and we've been raising chickens for eggs (havn't butchered them, they are our pets!). Sure it takes some time and energy, but packets of seeds and a bit of elbow grease has been well worth it. Fishing is so peaceful, and during deer season our freezer is filled with months worth of meat.

It has been awhile since I have posted. One of my loans is apparently trying to come back to haunt me. Geneva Roth/Loan Point just called and want to know why i have not been paying then an that i owe them a large sum of money for returned checks. What a bunch of bull. I revoked all ACH debits from them on 6/5, I closed my bank account I faxed them everything, emailed them everything, and even received a response from them saying that my account balance was cleared as of 6/25. The guy today says that I faxed them a request to pay off my account. Bunch of bull!!

Please read the message "The Mess". I'm his client and we all need to do something. I plan to file a police report. My question to those who knows, what will the outcome be? Will the police be able to do something? Is there any possibility at all that we will get our money back? Can we put him in jail? If he can get away with this, why so easy? Something has to be done and there must be a way! Anybody has experienced with this kind of thing? HELP!

I am getting sued by Citibank for about 8,000. These funds were to go towards E-Gold which was used for online gambling debts at Five Dimes Gambling. I sent out letters Explaining this to JMC the first collection agency and they returned it to Citibank, citibank then referred it to a law firm/collection agency and i sent basically the same letter informing them that these debts are uncollectible based on the Internet Gambling Law of 2006. Can anybody help me out? What should I do? Thanks, Steven
