Pay day loan COMPANY!

17 years 10 months ago
I only had one pay day loan with them, back in 2005 for $200.00, which I paid off, {thought I did} and to save heartache on my bank account, closed it and opened another one. Now they keep calling me and are saying that I owe them $5000.00 …. For some reason this isn’t taken care of--- Now they are threating me that they are going to fax paperwork to my payroll dept and deduct it all that I owe…. So… what do i do? Its been 3 years and know getting a hold of me! Any suggestions out there?????????

Hayt & Hayt & Landau called what do I do?

17 years 10 months ago
hayt & Hayt & landau just called me at work and offered me a settlement for a providian card I had in 2003. The last time I paid was Jan. 2003 and the SOL runs out on Jan. 09 because in NJ it is 6 years. It was a 4,000 card and now they say I owe 8,000 for court fees and stuff. In 2005 they won a judgement against me and cleaned my bank account out for 1500. Now they state they are going to garnish my wages. What should I do now????? You do the right thing and start paying your debts off when everyone wants their money at the same time and I can't afford that.

Should I file?

17 years 10 months ago
I'm thinking of filing for bankruptcy. I have over $25,000 in credit card debt, am behind on my house payment, and my husband hasn't been making as much as normal due to less work. My only problem is that it costs so much to file. I'm afraid of getting sued, and a couple of the creditors are talking about sending the debts to a lawyer. I can't come up with the $1500 it would take to hire a lawyer anytime soon. But since we do have income, we don't qualify to file for free. Are there any other options out there?

Need help in PA

17 years 10 months ago
I have several payday loans, I get one to pay off one, and just have a mess. I have one with NLS cash advance, and have so far paid $429.00 for a $250 loan. I am told there will be another payment coming out for $279.00. I never signed a contract, on request they finally sent me a contract that says I electronically signed, which I didn't. I submitted my information on line for a loan, and next thing I knew there was $250.00 deposited into my account, I didn't even know where it came from, but this site helped me find out by what was written on my bank statement.

collection accounts and bankruptcy

17 years 10 months ago
Hello all-- I am in the process of trying to clean up my credit report. I have one question for all of you... I have accounts that show up under collection on my credit report, which were discharged via bankruptcy. Should these still show up there? Or should I ask to have them removed? Thanks for your help! PDL Trap

17 years 10 months ago
My husband and I both have many PDLs, and they were killing us. All of our money was going to pay just the fees each week. It's so embarassing that we got into this mess. We make decent money and should not be in this situation. Because of paying so much in the fees, we've gotten behind on our mortgage and lots of other bills. The only thing getting paid on time was the PDLs! A couple of weeks ago we got the courage up to go into the bank and had our account frozen to debits and the bank gave us a new account number that we are now using for legitimate debts.
