am I a candidate for consolidation?

17 years 10 months ago
I have a capital one card that has $1000 debt on it, and it is overdue by a month. A student loan for 4,500 that is automatically withdrawn from my account and is up to date. A Best Buy card which I has had one late fee and is up to date (but I may not be able to pay this month) and has $2000 debt on it. And an Arizona Federal Credit Union credit card that has $15,000 debt on it and is up to date. All of these things are pretty much maxed out.

credit report online problem

17 years 10 months ago
I'm having a terrible time getting my credit reports online. Equifax asks me for mortgage information, I've never had a mortgage, so I can't get that report. Transunion's webpage experiences technical diffuculties everytime I try to sign in. And experion needs an old credit card account # (to verify identity) that I don't have. I've even tried to pay $30 for the 3-in-one report, but had no luck proving that I am ME. AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! Is there anywhere I can go in person to pay for a 3 in one report. I live in Columbus OH. Thanks for any help.

Gas prices

17 years 10 months ago
Just curious what part of the country are you in and how much are you paying for gas? I found gas at $3.95 a gallon, other stations around here went up to $4.09 a gallon like in 24 hours... I am in the midwest, right smack in the middle...

Has anyone dealt with Chase?

17 years 10 months ago
I'm dealing with circuit city visa which is through chase and they're totally unreasonable with working out payment arrangements. I was just wondering what steps they generally take. Do they take action and generally sue or do they generally charge off the account and sell it to a collection agency? Thanks, Johnita

Where can I find title loan laws - or can you help?

17 years 10 months ago
I know this is probably the wrong forum, but I'm not sure where else to post, I have a title loan - stupid desperate move - but here I am. I live in IL & borrowed $3,000. Monthly interest = $657.00. I always pay more, so principle is now $1,200. Question 1: Are they obligated by law to send a monthly statement even if you overpay? Each time I overpaid they sent no statement the following month. When I call to ask they said I overpaid so much that I'm not due for a payment & can skip a month. Each time I asked them to mail a statement anyway - they said they would but never did.

Not sure if I'm posting in the right section, but are there any good cards for rebuilding credit? I always hear of Orchard, First Premier, are they any good?

Debt

17 years 10 months ago
I have a lot of debt from a separation I went through two years ago, including unauthorized accounts opened in my name by my spouse, which I am trying to pay off but it is just too much. The major things are two vehicle repossessions that are hanging heavy on me. It has been about a year and a half since those went back and I am trying to lower payments by getting rid of things like going to a cheaper car now. But I am afraid the debt to income ratio and credit history are getting in the way.

Langhorne Success Stories?

17 years 10 months ago
I have seen the thread with people discussing the pros and cons of services like the one that Langhorne offers, but I want to know if there is anyone out there who has successfully used them to eliminate their PDL problem? Is there anyone out there who has used them and had more problems than what they started out with?

Need help in Florida

17 years 10 months ago
I have three outstanding payday loans: Cash Net Usa - owe $900 in principal (original loan $1000, paid off $100 principle) Geneva Roth Ventures - owe $225 (original loan $300, paid off $75 principle) Interim Cash - owe $250 (original loan $250, paid nothing on principle yet) All three our internet based loans. How do I even start to take care of this mess? Just today, I opened another checking account with a different bank, and switched my direct deposit to it. But what should I do with the checking account that these companies have access to?
