MBNA filed Motion for Judgement on the Pleadings. What motion do I respond with?

About 2-3 yrs ago I purchased a car and my uncle was a co signer since I didn't have any credit at all. About 5 months later my uncle died of a heart attack I continued to pay my monthly payments as I was doing in the beginning, and now its 2 years later and the car is still not paid off and it was braking down on me so I went to get it traded in for a new vehicle and to take my uncles name off of the other one.

Has anyone ever heard of these people? A woman by the name of Michelle Davis called threatening me that an investigation team was going to show up at my house and office to criminally investigate me for taking out a payday loan. I have paid all my payday loans years ago.

Has anybody ever dealt with Bank of America and American express and how is it to try and deal with these companies? I'm considering doing debt settlement. We had a recent change in financias in our household and it seems that I'm having a hard time paying my bills. I don't want to claim bankruptcy, but I'm hoping to settle with some of my creditors. If I could get them to lower the interest I might be able to pay them back. Any suggestions would be great!

Hi- I am having a problem with Gillete and Paul. They have been calling my mother's house- I called them last week and gave them my number- they still called my mom's house today. But that is not what I need the help with. I sent them a debt validation letter today- then received a call finally at my number. I did some research here online this weekend and found out that Florida statues are for 5 years on a written account which is what credit cards are right- it's an old household bank account- that I'm almost positive I paid off years ago.

Hi, I have been sent a letter from penta group stating I owe a large sum of money. A few years ago I had gotten ill and lost my job. No doubt you know the tale....this cc used, then that cc used.....just dug a huge hole for myself. I did my best to wrok with the original debtor, however they so harassed me always wanting more. Now...going through my credit file and doing my best to get out of this mess. In the mean while, being contacted by penta group. While I do owe the money.....I do not owe that much money so I sent (certified mail with return sig.) a letter of validation.

Has anyone had any luck settling their Discover Card once it has reached a lawyer, either before or after a summons was served, or with a collection agency? What percent were you able to settle for and what was your original amount owed to Discover card? Both DH and I have a DC, his is with a lawyer, mine went to a collection agency. We haven't spoken to anyone yet but would like to make contact this week to start working something out so I'd like to know how others fared in negotiations. Thanks!

i recenty applied for payday loan i contacted them and told them i would send money back as soon as it is posted they will not contact me dose anyone know can i have my bank send them their money back i checked at ripoff report and they are on it so i decided not to use their money

it has been over a month and i have received no response to my debt validation letter from Midland Funding. I sent the letter via registered mail so I know that they have received it. What is my next step. Thank you to all!!!! :)

I recently received a debt collector letter in regards to a debt from 2002. I have never received anything in the past and I am trying to figure out if I need to pay this or not. What are the statue of limitations in Colorado and can the debt be renewed after a certain amount of time? Thanks, SG
