Geneva Roth and utah laws

17 years 11 months ago
Regarding Geneva Roth (Loan Point USA) I know they are licensed in Utah and I am in Tennessee. That being said I have to follow the Utah laws for PDLs, Right? I have had this loan since December 2007 and the Utah law states that the loan can not extend more than 12 weeks so basically they are not following the law. I have paid them 1620.00 in fees and none of the principal has been touched. Do I owe them any more money?

BANK ACCOUNT LEVIES

17 years 11 months ago
Can a creditor that has a judgment against my fiance put a levy on our bank account if I am also on the account? I want to make sure my money is protected. Should I open my own account for "my" money? Or, does the fact that he is not the only person on the account "protect" it from such actions. Thanks.

Payday Avenue/ wage assignment

17 years 11 months ago
Payday avenue is threatening to contact my payroll dept. and attach my wages. As some of you nice folks recommended to me a while back, I sent a notice to my payroll dept. revoking authorization for them to do so. Here is my problem. I work for the state, Kentucky, and my payroll dept. is in another part of the state and they seem less than thrilled about my correspondance and I don't know that they will back me as I haven't gotten any response from them except that we'll forward this to this person and so on. What is your take on it.

Credit report question - LVNV Funding LLC in credit report

17 years 11 months ago
How long does it take a debt collector to put an entry on your credit report? Lets say they send the information to Experian about a debt, when Experian gets that information, does it take days weeks months? lvnv funding llc is on my 3 credit reports as a date opened on 5/2005. They did not open up business until 4/13/2005. It just does not seem logical that they had enough time to acquire this debt and report it, they only had 48 days from date of opening to the month they reported.
