I would like to know if these are valid points to counter sue, are these violations: TW and equifax both say: pay status: collection account account type: open Individual account Loan type: factoring company account and Experian says: pay status: assigned to colection/attorney/or credit grantor's internal collectiondepartment account type: closed Loan type: Unknown/credit extension/review or collection Thanks in advance

I had checked my credit report and found that they have entered a neg entry on my credit report, does not say what the account was for, just an amount. What should I do, I have heard about them and I don't want to be surprised by a lawsuit. Thanks

from Northcarolina AG

This is a quote from letters that were sent to my pdl's from NC AG.... "It appears that your company is offering payday loans to North Carolina consumers. You should be aware that payday loans are not authorized in North Carolina. North Carolina's Consumer Finance Act, North Carolina General Statute 53-164 et.seq., regulates small consumer loans and allows a maximum interest rate of up to 36 % for licensed lenders. Further, North Carolina General Statute 53-166(d)provides that consumer loans made by out-of-state lenders to North Carolina residents can be subject to our usury laws.

Cash Advance Network ?

Hi. I have taken care of most of my pdls except for this one. I don't have the paperwork in front of me, but I am 100% positive this is overpaid by a few hundred dollars. I just received a letter from a collection agency in New Jersey for the full amount ($300). How should I go about dealing with them? Should I send the original letter I sent to CAN? I live in Ct.

statue of limitation

Hi. Which statue of limitation applies? The debt was made in California where statue of limitation is 4 yrs (which it is expired last year) and I am living in the different state where it is two years longer. Does the statue of limitation depend on current residence no matter where the debt was created?

i've been hearing that cap one is hard to deal with when it comes to owing debt. i owe them about 3k - i think theyre adding interest or something because before it was about 1.5k. Anyhow, I want to pay this down, but also have it reflect positive on my report...right now it listed as charged off. Any suggestions?

attorney general complaint

17 years 11 months ago
Can someone send me or post a sample of how to write a complaint to the attorney generals office? What kind of info should I be putting on the form? I am not sure if I should tell them i closed my checking account since the pdl company wouldn't make payment arrangements that I could afford that would actually pay off my account. I know where to file the complaint I just am unsure of what to say I dont want to end up getting myself in trouble.

My personal information was given to a relative

17 years 11 months ago
I have a question. Can a collection agency call a household member and give your personal information? Such as last payment received and amount owed. A collector called today and gave my a relative information. I have heard of giving information to a spouse, but The relative never even gave any information on who they were to me. Is this legal?
