If pdl's are illegal in Pennsylvania, is it legal for Geneva Roth Ventures to call me at work and threaten me?

The poster iamadebtcollector should be watched with caution.He is being very civil on our board,but his blog is stomach turning & reminds me of a older member who was banned here. This is just a gut reaction with no evidence at all.The older members should know who this banned poster was.

I have a pdl with mycashtime.com and I recently worked with my bank to have the ACHs stoped from this company so today they are calling me accusing me of fraud and such, so I contact them to see if I can set up payment arrangements but they say that it can only be done over the phone not via fax or e-mail. I just wanted a copy for myself showing I was trying to pay this. What do I do??

I had already filed a dispute with Equifax and out of the 5 accounts I disputed they took 2 off. Is there anyway to show it to Experian and Transunion to help with my disputes to them? Also is there a way to use it with Equifax again to show them that it has been taken off already and now another company is illegally adding it back on my credit report. Two of the others they supposedly checked with - which were not removed - it just has a memo that says meets fcra guidelines but I know for a fact that these are from more than 11 years ago.

I am freaking. I thought our payments were paying down the principal but now I am coming to realize they are all just interest payments for the privledge of using the money for the short period of time and now we still owe the whole principal on all these. Most of the loans are in my husbands name but he is at work in a job that is on the line and can't make a zillion phone calls. I am trying to contact the companies by email. Also, we're afraid to close the checking account since we have so many overdrafts previously, which is why we got the payday loans to begin with.

How do I file a complaint against Global Financial Services? They are located in England I just found out? DO I do this in the US or where? They are continuing to call me at work I have faxed and mailed them a cease to call letter twice now. What to do next. I closed my checking account that they had access to. They called me 45 times at work today! This is after the cease to call letter was faxed/emailed and mailed to them in 2/2008 it is not 5/2008!

So I have not posted much here, but been a lurker for a while. Got in trouble with internet PDL's. The Loan Shop got me and I closed bank account. They started calling me threatening me. I just laughed it off b/c I knew the laws. Anthony Carter called me one day- trying to disguise his voice and said "B!TCH I'm coming after you!" I fired off a letter to the State attorney general's office, the BBB and a letter to them citing our state's laws regarding PDL's and said they were blatantly breaking the laws in our state and cited the state's PDL laws.

I have to make this quick because I will be leaving shortly, but did want to give a little update on what has been going on with my son. He is still in school in Biloxi, MS and he is doing well. The ding-dong let someone talk him into Amway, although it is going by a different name, but it is Amway! If one has the time to really commit to that, yes they can make money, (me and my ex were in it and only ended up buying from ourselves but knew people who did well), but he just does not have the time and of course being young, it sounded like a good deal.

A collection agency wants to settle one of the many debts I owe. The original amount was a little more than 5,000 then with interest and other fees it blossomed to over 9,700. They want 1400 to settle.The original stopping of all payments on my cards were in 2003. What can I gain at this point by paying off this debt,while there are other outstanding amounts that total over 80,000. Buy the way I am writing my friends e-mail because I do not have one.
