I received 2 1099c for cancelled credit card debt from 2007 which I paid for on my Taxes ( did not claim insolvency) but they still appear on my credit report and are still accuing interest, which is increasing my debt to income ratio. If the debts are cancelled, can they still be on your credit report as "charge-off" and can they still maintain the same amounts with interest still accuing? Also, what date will they drop off of your report, and can these accounts be resold?

I recently took out a cash advance loan with Western Union (or the pay day store). The amount was about $250 I believe give or take, plus the interest in taking out a loan. When the debt was due, I had lost my job and had no money in my bank account. They had tried contacting me on my phone, but shortly after my phone bill was due and had no money to pay for it since I lost my job, therefore the calls stopped. Its been maybe a month, maybe a little over two months since I took the loan and I still owe them money.

OK, So I have searched the forums and came up with the conclusion that most people on here frown upon using some sort of debt consolidation program. I can understand that they may charge a fee but it seems to me, that the ease of having them all into one and not having to deal with harassment and phone calls instead having a hard start and end payment schedule still seems a bit more easy going. The company in this very website seems to be helpful but im not sure who to trust anymore. I have contacted them and they are willing to help.

This agency has been harassing me for a couple of years. The first time they sent me a notice that I owed over $100 to Verizon. Although I never received any such notice from Verizon I sent a check to Palisades. Now, a year or so later, they are trying to collect from me again for a debt they say I owe to Verizon. This time I called Verizon (they are no longer my phone carrier) and they verified that I do not now, nor have I ever owed them any overdue payments. I sent Palisades a Cease and Desist letter but they are now calling my home very day. Can you help?

I received a letter today from my employer stating my wages are being garnished. When I asked for more information they stated it was through a Zwicker & Associates. I have not received a phone call or a letter from them to even notify me of such severe actions. Is there anything I can do to stop the garnishment?
