I think Paulmergel would be a good choice for debt sam . . . . He's been here for a while, is HOF, and is on all the time for the right reasons. Opinions?

I have been fighting off RJM, LVNV and a couple of other creeps for years now and it's really getting on my nerves. I had applied for a mortgage and while I knew that my credit still wasn't the best - mainly because of these collection agencies - I was still hoping to get something fairly decent. Well, I had a friend who is a Real Estate Agent get a hold of a guy who does the lending and has been able to work miracles - and do it within the laws and rules. He told me pretty much that I had a snowballs chance in Hades.

Ok you crazy kids...it's been forever since I received a phone call like this and yet, here they go again. It was a man that went by the name of "Officer Tom Brown" which then transferred me to his supervisor "Stewart McGill"....telling me that I had to pay tons of $$ for some outstanding loans. Telling me that the authorities were right outside my place of employment and that I had to pay an obscene amount of $$. He had a super thick accent that I could barely understand and said my call was being recorded...yadda yadda. Does anyone have any info on these people?

Um, I'm really hoping this is something that only we can see . . . . But if you look to the side at the "Most Popular" box, the top thread is the "Members guest posting" thread about kash . . . . I clicked on it, and it took me to the thread. Now I'd assume that if normal members clicked on it, it would not go to the thread, but shouldn't the title not be seen either? I haven't logged out to check, but all the other threads in the box are from other forums . . . .

I'm defaulting on a company called payday avenue and I have signed a wage assignement with them. My question is how long will it take them to do a wage assignment?

Hi there I recently applied for a Macy's charge card and was denied. The letter I received stated past deliquency with their company. I was confused since I have never had a Macy's charge card. So I pulled my credit report from Experian. There is nothing in the negative area about any store credit cards. But there are 2 listings in the GOOD area from Marshall Field's. I am assuming that this is who Macy's is referring to. This card is from 1990. For some reason, it's listed twice, once that there was a $160 balance, and the second time for date 1991 at 0 balance.

If they will take payments from a dmp?

How badly will debt settlement affect my credit score and future lending abilities?
