I recently paid off several collections and although they are currently showing as $0 balance on my credit reports, I am desperate to have the items removed permanently. Can anyone make any suggestions? Is there anything I can do? My Current scores are: Experian- 574 TransUnion- 592 Equifax- 595 I just need to do anything to get my scores at least to 600. I have been repairing my own credit for almost a year now and I've pretty much seen everything, but this has really stumped me. I have gotten so good, I'm pretty much a credit repair guru, but I'm clueless now.

We are in the process of filing Chapter 7. We are supposed to be able to keep our house. The problem is the equity LOC. We went through credit counseling and it is obvious that with the Equity LOC, we cannot make our budget work. Even with our CC debt wiped out, we cannot afford both our mortgage and Equity LOC. We are thinking of including the house in the bankruptcy and starting fresh. It's a scary proposition to think that we have to give up the house.

Let's say that you (meaning anyone) gets a complaint dismissed against a collection agency with prejudice. This means they can't sue you in court for the debt correct? However, what if this CA decides to sell the same debt to another CA. What happens then? Just asking. :)

Goudah and Shazzers, I saw when the new PDL laws went in in Oregon, it included things like cash call, think cash etc. I can't seem to find if that will happen here in OHIO. Do you know how I would find that information, and Goudah just curious if our in law in Ohio does include those types of loans, if I already have a loan with those folks, would I be able to get any help or reduction of fees? All right guys.. There is some poisonous stuff going on around here. I'm just going to get right to the point, because whoever did this is childish, insecure, and petty. Someone Told Kash and Volley that they would not be getting made mods ever because Mike said he didn't like their posting style. A couple of things here...This is UNACCEPTABLE. Not cool. a. This does not even SOUND like something Mike would say. I can't even hear him say those words! He would NEVER make it absolute like that, never, and not to anyone. So it's not even true. b. why the hell would someone tell them that??

Is it legal for creditors to call me on Sunday to attempt to collect an overdue amount?

I checked my credit reports and found that portfolio recovery associates had an entry on my reports. The entry stated that the type of loan was a "factoring company account" and that a payment of $300.00 had been made, but there was no date of the payment. I was never contacted by them even though they had my address, but they began to call my son's home and leave messages on his answering machine. I sent them a DV letter along with a CD letter CMRRR. I have yet to receive validation from them, yet they continue to report this on my credit report.
