Need your help guys. I wrote a check today with Dollar General and it was declined. It stated it was declined by Federal Recovery Systems. Does anyone know if they are associated with Payday Loans? If so, will that give them my new acct#?
We are glad to publish an exclusive interview with Miss Kathleen P. March, a former US Bankruptcy Judge, Central District of California, who is now a full time bankruptcy lawyer at her law firm, The Bankruptcy Law Firm, PC, Los Angeles, California. Here is what Attorney March had to say,
Why do you think so many consumers are filing bankruptcy?
Miss March: The American Bankruptcy Institute reported on 5/1/08 that U.S.
I have a Blog, through DebtCC. The question I have is can I advertise different things on my Blog? I'm not sure of this because it was DebtCC who set it up. Does DebtCC 'own' the Blog? I hope I asking my question clearly.
How would you act on your own as a consumer to initiate a suit against a CA, without a lawyer, when they violate FDPCA.
Is it possible to do this without a lawyer & win a settlement? Just curious.....I've actually won a few cases, but only with a lawyers help - so they actually got more $ out of it than I did.
I have been gone a long time after watching this forum practically self destruct with personal bull and very hurtful posting.I had made a decision to back off and let myself cool off for a period of time. I will say I am debating coming back but it will have to be slowly as I have some serious family issues to sort through.Wish all of you the best!

I sent a DV letter that I got from this site after I was sent a threatening letter to sue. The letter was not from an attorney but on an attorney letter head. I pulled my credit report again today and low and behold the company mentioned in the subject is on my credit report for Bally's fitness. I never got a response for the debt validation and they still went ahead and put it on my credit report after the fact. It has a date opened of 01/2008 and reported 04/2008 with terms of 1 month and an installment. It also says collection as of 04/2008.
Can they do that?
This is medical debt w/Midwest Service Bureau. They want entire bill, over $1000, paid in full & are persistent. I finally told them "Look, I'll try to pay $100 per month - but I cannot promise that will happen every month - it might be less than $100 sometimes." I've paid $200 during the past 3 months and continue to pay between $50 to $100 each month depending on what I can afford.
#1. How do I get them to stop calling me at work?
They continue to call me at work. I tell them "I'm not allowed to take your calls at work" & I hang up on them. Yet - they continue to call.
