:?: OK.....I just recieved a summons from a lawfirm representing citibank who says I owe them 5500.00. I only had one citi card in my life when I was 18 and it had a 500 limit. I transferred that dabt to my GM card and it says on my credit report it(citi) was closed by consumer. Which is fine. I have never recieved any collection calls...letters...or anything. Now they are trying to sue me....I don't understand it.

Has anyone ever dealt with a collection company called Glass Mountain Capital? They called me today, left me a message on a phone number that was unauthorized to call (my husband's business line). I called them back and spoke with a very nice guy by the name of Geno. He explained what the situation was and told me that I may qualify for a "hardship" program. He told me that he had to talk with his supervisor to get authorization for me to pay $50 a month to pay off $1,000. His so called "supervisor" gets on the phone by the name of Cynthia and starts chewing me out.

To make a long story short, the timing belt on my car broke and ruin the engine on my Kia Sportage. I have a personal loan againist my car with Citifinanical. Right now I am trying to find a way to get the lein off my car so I can sell it to my uncle. But I need a clear title. I called Citifinancial and they said the only way to get rid of the lein is either secure it with another vechile (which I do not have otherwise I would) or pay in full. But I was wondering if there is another way that they are not mention or if anyone else has been in this situation.

Well, after a lot of research and reading of court documents, I can say that it is a very confusing path. I started out with Internet Cash Advance Marketing, who was the owner of ameriloan, US Fast Cash, and Preferred Cash Loans a few years back. They were located in BC. I found some court documents related to these companies, and connecting all these dba's together under iCAM.

i received a call from a seven year old debt today asking for me in my maiden name. the account is a repossession. it's been sold two or three times to other creditors, but whomever called today said they were from the original creditors. they threatened legal action where they never did before if i didn't pay the 30 percent of the balance owed as full settlement. is this a scam? why now? and why after they've already sold the debt to someone else? alli
