I was just asked to assist my childs High School cheerleading team by writing a letter to solicit donations from local corporations to assist with the cost of replacement uniforms and camp. Has anyone out here ever tried to write a letter like this and can offer some advice? With the economy the way it is right now we are trying to offset the cost so that more girls feel like they can try out for the team... Any help or advice would be appreciated.. I am searching the net for sample letters too!

Hello, I've posted on here before, took the (good!) advice offered and thought I was done, but alas. The drama continues with Credigy. The background: (takes place in California) (and I apologize in advance - this post turned out to be MUCH longer than I had planned) Back in Jan 2005 I received a collection notice from a law office attempting to collect on behalf of Credigy. They said I owed $4,795 for an old MBNA account. I responded saying I had no record of such a debt and asked them to forward validation.

1st-irs or 1st Integral Recovery Services I have been receiving calls from them and they are not very friendly. I sent them a validation letter and haven't heard from them. Has anyone out there heard of them or worked with them? All the credit card and medical debt we have I have received information on. I have some payday loan accounts that I had and defaulted on because I have overpaid and they were illegal. Not for sure if they collect on those or not. Please let me know if you have heard of them. How do I deal with charge off accts? Is there a sample letter to send to the creditors to offer a settlement and how much do i start to offer? Thanks

Two years ago my wifes longtime friend talked her into investing in a Sacramento Ca area 2nd home as an investment. He convinced her to take out a 100 k line of credit on our current home part to be used as a down payment and the rest to be used to make mortgage payments until the property appreciated enough to be sold at a profit. we are now ready to do a short sale for a loss. As this is not our principal residence will we be taxed on any debt the banks forgive? Would forclosure be better than a short sale?

I've only been with Langhorne debt solutions for two weeks, and I know Cashnet has been notified. They were told to deal with Langhorne only. They call my work and our switchboard several times a day, every day. They've contacted my family members. My brother and sister-in-law who live out of state were called by Cashnet. What recourse do I have?
