Based out of Houston Texas--5800 N. Course Drive Phone numbers: 1-800-568-0339 and 1-800-304-8855 These group called me for the past month about a debt I have, and one person in the group has been harassing me repeatedly for the last 10-14 days. It has included threats of "Pay it or else" to repeatedly calling my house using different phone 1-800 and 1-888 telephone numbers to get me to answer the phone.

I’m so happy about next week. My next payment to my debt consolidation company will knock out the dreaded Checksmart and their sister store Express. I'm not sure if anyone remembers the stories about Checksmart, but I'm so glad they will be done and over with FOREVER. I think I have a few more months and all my Storefront Payday loans and accounts in collections will be paid in full. So glad I found this site last year. Thanks to everyone who puts this together.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this; however, a "guest" by the name of james seems think we have a lot of incorrect information on our site. He also seems to think that he can correct us and give us knowledge that no other person can. James is ALL OVER the place on the boards. This is just one thread in particular. Read jamesj's posts. They make me wonder (call me paranoid). However, he claims to be new and wants to 'gain knowledge', yet claims he has knowledge to give us. Now, I'm all for someone coming here and giving great information! Don't get me wrong.

I have a question on how to lower the interest rate on a current auto loan I have. First I took a loan out with Citifinancial in May 2006 for $32,500.00 interest rate was 14.99% (payments were $750.00 a month) I paid every month without ever missing a payment, in October 2007, I called and asked if I could get my interest rate lowered and Citifinancial stated no but that I could get a new loan.

It explains the difference between simple interest and compound interest, and illustrates through example. I chose this video because it is relatively short (3.5 mins) and to the point.

:idea: Idea : I wonder if there's a way to let members post into this forum without letting them actually view it - kind of like a "drop box". That way, we can direct members to post their complaints/issues/etc and it will show up here, where the mods can discuss/resolve. For example, maybe a member feels like a thread is getting out of hand. Instead of PMing a mod or admin, they would "drop" their complaint into this forum. Then any mod online could see the issue as it's posted, and either lock that thread or try to take control of the situation.

(I have sent an mail to the concerned person that as per our policy we are going to share it with our moderators so that they can take a decision accordingly.
