I’m in Massachusetts I have a credit card balance that, due to difficult financial times, I could no longer pay on. I attempted to settle with the issuing company, but they wouldn’t work with me. This has now been passed along to a CA, and also the National Arbitration Forum has issued an award in favor of the claimant. The award is dated October of 2007. Since then the account has apparently been passed along to another CA.

I sent the letter to impact cash today after I closed my acct and this is what they replied, Is this true? Our company is licensed out of the State of Nevada and as an internet payday loan company we are required to follow all of the laws in the state we are licensed out of, which we do. The law that you are referring to are for company's that have brick and mortar locations in the state of Wisconsin, which we do not.

To speak to a live person at a credit reporting agency (the big 3) you have to have a copy of your credit report from that bureau. There will be a number to call for any questions regarding your report.

If a credit card company refuses to deal with you because they've sold off your account- should they be able to report it on your credit report if the collection agency is claiming the exact same thing? I've got a couple doubles.

I received a first collection notice from Unifund yesterday. They start out the notice by advising the following: This letter is to inform you that Unifund currently owns or is servicing the above referenced account with a balance of $$$$$$ Isn't it a bit unusual that they don't know if they own or have been assigned the debt? Of course, I plan to request validation, but how should I handle the above?

Does anyone know of sample letter that I can use to send to the actual pdl companies that are calling my place of employment to get them to stop calling? I have seen sample letters to send to collection agencies but not to the actual pdl company. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was reviewing the three letters sent to me by a lawyer,it was from his office, his letterhead but not signed by him.

Hi friends, Some of you must be annoyed with the delay in your forum point redemption. I agree that some of us count on these points at the time of emergency and want the fund to be dispatched faster. Well, due to some unavoidable reasons, this time the payments took a little longer than its normal stretch. Our account department was going through some technical modifications and hence the delay. Thankfully, the work is almost done now :D and we have pulled our socks to deal with all the backlogs as fast as we can. Hope we’ll be able to avoid this kind of a situation in the future.

Not sure if this is the correct forum. Great lakes asset management said they were going to have me arrested because of a returned credit card payment. Declined I was under pressure to gave them my debit card number i told them not to take a payment from it. They tried byway and said because this is accross state lines and then said they were tagging on another fee (25.00) for that. I have to pay it April 9th he said boy k would not want to be you if this bounces again or comes back unpaid. I don't want any problems and can't afford to pay it right mow. Please help.
