hi,not sure whats what..i have about 80k in unsecured dept,about 30k is personal loans(credit union)and the rest credit cards,i have started to join rise above dept relief but during the interview phone call they said that credit unions rarely settle and the one credit card i took a cash advance out..she says i should pay on it for 6 months,o.k but she says i should still keep these in the program?any opinions on any of this welcome

I am now unemployed. I decided that the long commute plus the rising cost in fuel was too much of a strain. It was. 400 dollars a month just to go to work. It was silly. While I made a pretty good living it wasn't good enough for me to buy that much gas or sit in traffic a long with a 45 minute drive. My commute changed when we moved at the first of March. It went from 10 minutes to much longer. Anything under an hour might not sound like a long drive but I have some issues. I can't sit in a car that long. It's a phobia of some sort I guess. I get very anxious.

Hello Everyone, I am 24 years old and engaged. I have accumulated about $24,000.00 of credit card debt and unfortunately things have gotten way too out of control for me to continue trying to save this sinking ship. I have called a company by the name of 800 Credit Card Debt and spoke to them about a settlement process in which I would be taken care of by an attorney during the whole settlement process.

I had an account open with these guys starting in June 2007 for a $250 loan. They took $150 out of my account every month until today (so they have been paid $1500!). I sent them a C & D letter and they responded: Ms. ######, In response to your letter, regarding your loan with SDS Processing, we will no longer debit fees from your account. We will not be refunding any fees to you. We have forgiven the $250.00 loan that you have not paid. If you did not agree with the terms of the loan, you should have not taken the loan.

i have great news about all credit lenders,the storfront that did the wage assignment in sept.well they finally sent me a letter stating that i owed 208.00,the amount was right,but what took so long?anyway i happily paid that today and got my pif receipt.thank god.

Hello Everyone. I currently am going through bankruptcy because someone I became involved with 10 payday loans that I do not recall signing up for in the least bit. They actually overwithdrew my checking account almost 2,000 in the bankruptcy but my bank was not accommodating. They bounced the scheduled ACH debits back to them and I have not been paying since I have seen my lawyer. First, since my bank was not at ALL helpful it looks like I have written a whole slew of bad checks right? Some of the payday loans were sent to collection.. But will I get arrested because of this?

I have a question about asset acceptance llc. We received a bill from them in Feb 2008 for a debt that is questionable. I responded with a Validation letter. The responded back with a statement on their letter head with the original credit companies name, the amount they show I owe and a request to call them. I responded with a second letter of validation asking them to provide statements and contract from the original credit company, plus the contract that allows them to collect.

Can anyone tell me who the primary collection agency is for United Cash Loans? I received my "daily" call from them and it sounds like that's where they're going next. These PDL's are unreal, aren't they? They use so many weasle words and fishy phrases when they call. I told them that PDL's aren't legal in Maryland, they had the nerve to tell me they aren't a PDL, but a loan company! Then I asked if I could have a valid address for their company and the name of their president/CEO. No deal.

Who is Northway Debit??? they have taken money out of my account and I don't know them or why
