For those of you who use self serve gas pumps never use your paypal card. I was on my way to an appointment and I stopped at the 7-11 / Citgo where I usually do, swiped my card, and put ten dollars in the tank. The next day there was a pending charge at the 7-11 for 85.00 right below the ten dollar charge. Because my wife is the actual card holder she had to call. Three times she waited for the offshore customer service and three times they hung up on her when she tried to get the situation remedied. Finally on the fourth attempt she reached someone in Nebrasks who helped her out.

hi all sending out a dv and have a question about what i can legally request in writing about them validating the sol of the debt. should we be more specific so they really have to dig if possible, for the dates/info needed for validating the sol, especially if this info might be needed in court? can these debt scum actually see what is in my credit report or does all their come from who they bought it from previously? the template, so kindly provided by jcemt, asks for "6. Prove the Statute of Limitations has not expired on this account".

Hi All! I have money to pay off all of my collection accounts. Before I just send them the money, do I have any leverage to get them to remove, restate (as in, change from "chargeoff" to "Paid in Full"), or even remove completely all negative remarks on my credit reports? Is there anything I should know before I pay them? They are all 3rd party. Thank you for any advice!

What is the proper procedure for discovery, from the CA? This is why I ask. (Unifund in this case) I received a CD that had my name on it, (hand written with a black marker), and the word "Discovery" written on it. The CD contained the same thing (documents) as the actual official looking paper which has the Common Pleas Court Civil Divsion and my county & state at the top. Below that, it says the usual, Plaintiff vs defendant, blah blah blah, and the case number.

i have about £15,ooo loan from the bank and the odd credit card debt max about £4,000. i'm leaving the country to live in the states soon, and was wondering if i just went and stopped paying them all would they bother or be able to find me and make me pay?? and would they be able to access my other bank account and freeze that/take money? When out in the states can i just open a new american account and live my life there as normal? i know this sounds bad but just feel i need to find out. thanks for any input!!
