Well heres my story as is seemingly requested. It all began back in college. I went away for school and needed money for the little things like beer and wal mart. i got a credit card and max'd it out in weeks. th original amount was 1800$. obviously with little to no income i couldnt pay the thing, never thought about that! i tried negotiating with mbna and they wouldnt have it. finally i asked them if they would close the account and stop tacking on over the limit and late payment fee's so i could get ahol of the balance and pay it down.

I am on a debt management program with Town & Country and I have written letters myself to credit cards requesting that they stop charging the late and overlimit fees. Most of them have been very helpful and have stopped these charges and lowered my interest rate. There are a couple of them that are unwilling to do anything. How do I get them to be more helpful? I will never get them paid off when they charge a late fee and overlimit fee every month. Any suggestions?

Ok, just checked my e-mail and I received a response from the BBB stating they received a response from AIP regarding my account. The attached letter stated that AIP was in the process of closing down its operations and that my account would be considered paid in full!! YEE HAW!!!

I must again say a HUGE thank you to you guys for the help you've given me so far. I can't believe its been only a month since I started getting this situation under control. I woke up this morning and found this in my Inbox!!! First PIF!!!!! I NEVER, NEVER, EVER would have beleived the BBB would get this done.

I am making my payments on time but do not see a light at end of tunnel is it possible to consolidated even though you are not behind in you payments. Thank You

Hello everyone- Like everyone else here, I am slowly working my way out of the payday loan trap. I managed to pay off 4 storefronts and am currently on EPP with 2 others. I am confident I will soon be done with the storefronts, but I still need to tackle my internet PDLs. Now, I have seen some topics about people being horribly harassed by certain companies, such as MTE Financial and ameriloan, etc. Now,at least 2 of my PDL loans is through MTE ( instantcashloantillpayday.com and 500fastcash, which I believe has been proved to be part of the MTE family ).

Can a CA add something to a credit report after the SOL has expired and the OC never placed the item on the Credit Report? Have an old HFC Line of Credit (DOLA between 11/00-2/01) they never placed the item on the credit report. Now a collection agency is reporting the debt. I have not received anything in regards to this debt even though the address on the credit report is accurate.
