Hello again, sorry to be such a pain, but I need to write a letter to my AG about 500 Fash Cash, oneclickcash, and US Fast Cash. From what you all have said, these companies are all a part of MTE Financial. I'm in the process of filling out a complaint form, but I don't have an adress for any of these companies. Can someone help with that? Also, is there a form letter I should use? They called me again today and I kept telling them I'm not paying because they are an illegal company.

I actually started have problems with osi when I joined a student loan rehab program. They told me to pay 285.00 per month for 12 months and then they would drop the amount down. I did it and at the end they tried to raise it and then threatened wage garnishment and told me that if I were to have my wages garnished I would be paying out a lot more. Well I told them to do what they had to do and they did start taking my wages. It was less than what I was paying to them. Anyway it is now 5 years later, They take 15% of my pay and my bonus and the interest accrues daily at 9%.

I have an outstanding debt with Providian/Washington Mutual. This was a $500.00 card that was opened 8 years ago in 2000. The account was originally Providian then became Washington Mutual. The account has been transferred and sold to LVNV Funding. LVNV funding placed this account with at least 3 collection agencies before sending it to an attorney here in Maryland a couple of months ago. I believe the statue of limitation has expired on this account. As far as I can recall the last payment made on this account was back in 2004. Over 3 years ago.

I am a Massachusetts resident. I called my bank a few weeks ago and asked them to block any ACH from coming into my account. The operator said he would do this and that I should follow up w/in 14 days with a letter. My bank is USSA federal savings in Texas. Well, guess what- all the debits still came through and now my account is overdrawn by over 700.00 I called the bank and they said that they cannot stop the ACHs ane I would have to pay 30.00 to have each one stopped once.

If I pay off a bad debt will it be completely deleted from my credit report? Does it make a difference if I pay the original person I owe or if I pay the collection agency? I would appreciate any help out there, Destiny

I was wondering what the odds are of being able to settle this debt out of court? i got a letter from a law firm wanting to settle the debt and then a month or so later i received a summons to appear in court on a civil warrant. i am being sued by the original creditor (capital one). i was wondering if i could contact their attorney here in TN (where i live-the debt originated when i was living in CA) and attempt to settle this out of court. any information you could give me on this matter would be much appreciated.

I stupidly used to leave my wallet in my glove compartment back then. My husband had a collections account on his credit report which reported the last date of activity as 07/2001. Since it is out of Michigan (with a SOL of 6 yrs), it recently dropped off of his credit report. He has been paying them $10 a month for the past 8 yrs (just to keep them quiet), but now I'm wondering if he should keep paying, or can he stop since it has dropped off? His credit score has finally gone up thanks to this dropping off, but I wouldn't want to just stop paying if there is a chance it could get back on there somehow.
